Those are some happy looking girls! Great job on the pics, I will love to see these beauties fatten up.
Thanks for the info - I have to say that I was a bit shocked by how much she stretched when she hit flower. I am sure the shock of going from 20/4 to 12/12 overnight had something to do with it. I normally do a more gradual transition but forgot to do that this time. I hope she fattens up nicely now that the stretch is over. I'm going to post some pics here in just a bit.hey medshed just wanted to hit you back and let you know i cut my Shooting star at 57 days and she was from seed. ended up super dense and amazing bag appeal. yielded just over 3 oz and the lemon taste came through great. If yours is a cut you could prolly do 56-58 days and she will put you right to sleep lol
cant wait to see her man
Thanks! I'm definitely looking forward to the weight gain. Those are some happy looking girls! Great job on the pics, I will love to see these beauties fatten up.
Thanks Bshdctr!Medshed,
Pics of the Kali are great, awesome quality pics as usual. (I think maybe I need some lessons from you and ColdArmySoldier It's nice to hear that the spice is really coming through on that strain.
Looking forward to how she finishes!
Take care,
Bshctr
Welcome back Brobo (AKA Bobo).Holy SHIT dude... I made it.
The girl's lookin' mental!!!! Nice pics, btw
No kidding about the SS bush. I topped for what I thought was going to be 6 heads and it looks like I've got closer to 60 . After this picture I put in some stakes that I'm going to use as corner posts to build a corral around her. I may need to call Trueno over to lend his expertise...dang, that SS is a bushy BEAST!! the DP looking good too. mine average @ 17" now @ 75days old. it looks like i may have 2 phenos with similar characteristics/structure
Thanks man. Hopefully I can get Bobotrank back. I mean, it's okay be a Bro, but... yeah. Bobotrank.Welcome back Brobo (AKA Bobo).
Looks like you can't receive PMs under your new identity yet. The Eagle has landed. When you get your PM rights back, you'll have to tell me the difference between 1 and 3.Eyes to the skies, captain!
Thanks Dill. I hope you find the pheno you like out of your batch too. I don't think you can go too wrong with any of the Kali Mists, but it is fun to hunt for the special one.Your Kali-Mist looks awesome Med. My plants smell of an almost chemical/cleaner zesty synthetic lemon/lime fragrance with a hint of fresh pine. I'm really hoping that at least one of the 7 will develope a spicey smell in the coming weeks as that will likely be my keeper pheno. I find alot of strains around here that smell of lemons... and I was hoping to have something uniquely my own.
Seeded or not I still love my plants. Yours truly is a beast... Hope that pot of soil has enough juices in it to hold on for another 4 weeks !
I may have a difficult time determining which pheno to keep unless something occurs to really sway my decision. I'd like your oppinion on this thought. I have 1 particular plant that despite being 100% pollinated(I mean 100!! percent! AHH!) this plant is still producing new flower growth foxtailing out of the older flowers with fresh pistils. The calyxes on this plant are smaller and the plant seems to be putting alot of it's energy into the new flowers.
To contrast with that I have 1 particular plant that has about the same size of colas but the calyxes are getting huge. The buds are swelling(with seeds) and there is no visible new flower growth. So no new flowers but the flowers that are present are getting really big.
My thought is that the plant with no new growth would be the one to keep, as it would presumably mature faster and have a more consistent maturation of trichromes. But I really don't know for sure which is more desirable.
Which plant based on those characteristics would be more desirable?
The plants are also fully seeded... that may complicate the matter even more because the plants will not behave exactly as they would have grown without pollination. There is probably nothing to help with that problem though shy of growing out all of the plants again and evaluating them from a sensimilla perspective.
I'm really only asking just for the sake of provoking thought... afterall I will probably have no problem determining which plant I'll keep after everything is dried and cured... but I thought I would ask
Thanks BP. I agree that she is probably done with the stretch. She seems to be focusing her energy on bud production now. That girl does not mess around, that's for sure. I was gone about 4 days and she just exploded through the stretch. Now she's kicking out the buds with the same urgency. That's why I want to get her bent and contained right away so she can be left alone to pump up the volume. There is no doubt that I'll be enjoying her well into next winter!I can't imagine that the SS will stretch any more than that Med...if it yields like it does in the OPC you'll have a very nice summer and fall...maybe winter too the way you cure.
Nice work on the Kali too...Simon does excellent work.
