Let me absolutely and without question tell you it IS REAL. The problem with these sites is that it is always open to those that embelish or just want attention. I have no way of producing my credentials. But for what it is worth, I live in Brisbane Australia. I heard it at 2045hrs on the 16th of Jan. I have not been quite the same ever since. The sound has a physical prescence as well as an audible one. It comes from everywhere with no direction evident. It moves through the air and you feel it through the ground. I have never, never left any comments on any sites like this until this event and I am seeking answers now. I feel like the Guy from Close Encounters the movie. For what it is worth...It is real.

very convenient that right when people start denouncing this as the hoax it is...

a stranger comes in to RIU, creates an account, and knows exactly where to find the thread about weird sounds just so his first post can be a semi-credible account of his own personal experience....

What is a supernatural sound? How would vibrating air, which is made of atoms, not be a part of nature? If the sound existed, something natural caused it.
