Looking for an ontario dr willing to sign

Like the title says, I'm looking for a dr in Ontario who signs mmar.
Unfortunately where I live the Drs don't sign them. (Quebec)
I have depression and have been on celexa for 6 years straight now. What kind of paperwork do I have to bring when I see the dr? Is perscription records enough? (up to the current date)

Do a google search for "MMAR Doctors", many of them will do Skype Sessions, you can find the forms you need at http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/marihuana/how-comment/applicant-demandeur/index-eng.php.

You'll need a diagnosis from your specialist that outlines your ailment, as Depression is category 2 so you'll need form B2, accompanied by your specialist's name, contact info etc for verification of the diagnosis. You do NOT need your specialist to sign anything, you ONLY need the diagnosis from them, once you have that, you can have any GP that can prescribe narcotics (T3's, Morphine, Dilaudid (Hydromorphine), Oxycodone etc) sign off on your MMAR documents.

Damn, the only problem is I don't even remember who the dr is who diagnosed me.
It was 6 years ago and I've just been on the same dose for 6 years! Its like the docs put me on pills and just leave me on them, with no signs of me ever getting off them.

So im guessing prescription records isn't sufficient?

Any idea of how I would go about getting my diagnosis if i don't even know who the dr is who diagnosed me in the first place?
(get another diagnosis? lol)

Unfortunately, you'll need to acquire a diagnosis from a specialist, this means either shifting through your prescription records to locate the original prescription, all bottles will have the name of the Doctor who prescribed the medication on the label, or contact the person currently writing out your prescriptions, as any specialist who is continuing your medication is aware of your condition, as they are filling out prescriptions to treat you. As far as I'm aware, there is no "Unlimited" number of refills on prescriptions, no matter what the condition is, therefor, someone has to be writing your prescriptions on at least a monthly basis, have this person retrieve your records from either their own, or the psychiatrist who originally prescribed the prescription. No better place to begin your search for your diagnosis than with your current prescription writer.

Anyone with the basic understanding of how google works knows this is an effective route. You will not find clinics advertising that they sign, but you will find list's on other forums and websites of doctors who have signed for people already.

There's no better route than to contact a doctor who has already signed someone else on their MMAR.

In addition, the "Google "MMAR Doctors"" advice that I have given has landed at least a few people an appointment within this and next month for signing their MMAR. While I myself have not given out a single doctors name. I think the correlation speaks for itself.

I thought that would be the best way myself, but I do not know a single person with a license...

I am a programmer, I use google all day long. I know more than just basic understanding of Google and how to use it, but like I was previously mentioning NO doctor will advertise they will sign... I have not yet seen one list that is accurate, and are in my province. Most results are people asking for referrals, and they get their replies as PM. No one will list any names out in the open.

Google of "mmar doctors" returns too much garbage, spam, and scams (pay me x dollars for referral)... Googling ""mmar doctors"" returns 5-10 results...

Again, I beg for help.

Ok, think about it this way. I'm not trying to be a douche, but you do have to do some research, alot of doctors have been scared since Dr.Kammermans got raided, yet some are still willing to sign. Right now the "Pay $100 to get referred" might simply be the only way to locate an "In house" doctor who will sign. I cannot tell you who will, and I don't think many can right now. There's alot of things wrong with the MMAR program that are making things very shifty right now.

On top of that, consider this. If no doctor is advertising that their signing, what makes you think their patients are going to feel comfortable giving out a doctors name who doesn't want their name advertised for obvious reasons. Those that do, get raided. It's really as simple as that. Hate to break it to you, but this is unfortunately how it is, I hate it, you hate it, everyone else hates, it's nothing but a big bag of dog shit light on fire and set on our doorsteps, but it's unfortunately the way it is.

Pay the money, or do thing under the radar, as far as I can tell, these are your options, if the outdated list's are doing you no good.

I just need a signature, how much of a bitch is that? I have 3 of the needed conditions, just no frigging signature... I am going to commit suicide before I get my signature just because of the stress and length of time involved in getting it... God have mercy on my soul :S

I hear you man, I really really do, I unfortunately cannot recommend any doctors because the one that signed for me was the very same one that got raided, so the best advice I can give, which seems to be the best advice anyone can give at the moment, is search and search, and try to teach as many doctors as you can, gather as much medical information you can from health canada's website, I believe they even have a form that omits the doctor from personal responsibility or something similar. Good luck, I hope everything pans out for you. This system is a joke.

If the appeals court upholds the original trial judges decision then cannabis will be legal in Ontario in all forms.

Why are there no rallies and support marches and speeches organised for on the courthouse steps while court is in session so our voices are heard?

POSTMEDIA NEWS A number of interveners have come forward to add weight to a scheduled Ontario Court of Appeal hearing to address a constitutional challenge of proposed changes to Canada's medical marijuana rules.
The case centres around Matt Mernagh, who was previously charged with marijuana production after police found the plants he used to treat his chronic pain and other symptoms of scoliosis, fibromyalgia and epilepsy. Police discovered Mernagh's plants in 2008 when they were in his apartment building on an unrelated call.
The matter, which is scheduled over two consecutive days starting May 7, has heard from three proposed interveners. The B.C. Civil Liberties Association and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association are included as well as a joint application from the Canadian AIDS Society, the Canadian AIDS/HIV Legal Network and HIV and AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario.
Health Canada has said proposed changes to the program — which would include removing the rights of patients to grow their own supply of marijuana or to appoint designated growers, forcing users to get their pot from a licensed commercial producer instead — would make the program less complicated for seriously ill Canadians.
However, Mernagh's lawyer, Paul Lewin, said the proposed changes to the marijuana access program are likely to scare off some of the few doctors willing to sign declarations, meaning "more seriously ill, law-abiding Canadians will be wrongfully treated as criminals" and subjected to humiliating arrests, medicine seizures and possibly even jailed, he said."

Overall, what is the mood like for mj users in ontario--are there dispensarys and hydroponic stores and things like that? What is the most someone can get a prescription for--how many plants?

It sounds like this appeals case will determine a lot, but right now today, how many plants can someone legally grow in their house? Do the electric companies notice power usage (or care?)

I'm curious because I have a friend considering moving there...he might just have to stay here in ca, lol.

Hey, just thought I'd let you know our experience with getting a medical license.

We signed up through MMAS.ca (search google for others)

Legitimate doctors will ask for your medical records, medications, etc.. (here's a list of docs who sign for you, they actually won't sign for people unless they feel it is a last resort: http://johnturmel.com/doctors.htm)

First step is you sign the Government's medical forms (more info on medicalmarijuana.ca) There are a few forms you must sign, the representatives who aid you through the process will tell you which ones.

You're going to have to send in about 450 dollars to the agency that will hook you up with a doctor,diagnose your conditions, tell you what to do to get your license from step 1. It's a long process but I think it's worth it to have to legally grow marijuana.

Since you have depression and have taken meds (I presume that they make your condition worse through their side effects and seldom work) you will most likely be accepted for the license.

The license expires 1 year after it has been issued, and you're going to have to pay another 200ish dollars to that same agency you signed through to renew your license. You do that on an indefinite bases every year or until any changes have taken place.

We've waited about 5 months and will be getting the license in a few days.

OR, you can just go to a local doctor in your area (or the one who prescribed those meds for you) whose brain actually works and will sign for you instead of saying "no, it's bad for your health and illegal"
