So I'm setting up my grow room in the next few weeks. I have a 9x10 space, but I am not going to use the full space for growing and want to make a smaller "room" inside of the original. My question is what kind of material should I use to build this, "wall". My limitations are that I rent, and anything I set up must be easily taken down. Many have suggested dry wall, but I wanted to see if anyone knew of any good, cheap ways to set up a good wall.

Would really appreciate the help.

You could use plastic to section off the room. You could tape it up in place then you don't have too worry about holes in the existing walls. Ventilation on the other hand may be a different story.

Well the ventilation shouldn't be to much of a problem, I plan on running it right out the window in that room after I get a filter for the smell. The windows won't be included in the room, so I can just cut a hole in the plastic for the vent I guess. Do you know where someone might be able to purchase plastic like this?

Hey no problem, hope it fits the bill and works for ya. You can also get light tight zippers and and velcro to make light tight doors so you don't get any light leaks. The rep. button is on the bottom left right next to journal this post, just sayin!

basically looking to build a little grow tent by stapling this around a wooden frame and using velcro to secure the door. Would that work?

yeah it should work fine.

@Hadj I was also going to suggest the panda film, i was also going to suggest some 2x2's and build a frame and in the frame you can just fram out a smaller room for veg & clones.

also dont vent out your window thats a good way to get busted, vent it into a closet or something or if you can into the basement or attic. the fuzz use a FLIR camera that detects heat sigs coming out windows heat dosent usually come out of. if its only option go for it but if you can vent into basement or attic it would be much better idea or vent it out your dryer vent.

Well that's insulation board though isn't it? I guess it would work the same. Panda film isNT anything like that though.

Well I should have a care giver card by the time I start growing. And I live in the attic.apartment, so there's nothing above me.

that may be true in Europe but in the US, they need a search warrant & besides, the heat coming from a personal grow won't be extreme enough to show.
