should i water with only ph water before i start bloom? (soil ffof)

i have been vegging for a month and a half. I'm getting close to the height I want them. (1 1/2 feet).
I'm going to start bloom soon. I fed it Grow for the last time. should I feed with ph water next couple of times
before I start bloom? what to do?
thanks!420l peeps

I am not 100% sure but I think you go straight into your bloom nutes. You should only have to flush with water if there is a problem or right before harvest.

You know that the plant WILL get bigger over the next couple of months, right? That 1 1/2 foot plant could easily get over 3 feet tall! That's pretty sweet but may be too much depending on your available space.

:shock:I start the bloom nutes, when the light cycle changes to 12/12 but there is a argument to starting bloom nutes the last week of veg.

There is right or wrong. You need to change the nutes gradually. If you fed 3ml\L grow you need to keep that until hairs start to pop all over. Then you go 2ml\L grow and 1ml\L bloom. then each week you lean toward your bloom until you quit using your grow. The plant need high N for the first half of flowering. You could switch to flowering nutrients once you go 12\12 and ditch the high N fert but in 2-3 weeks you'l get N deficiencies which would suck to cure as your already flowering and could get stuck with too much N in the medium at the end of flowering.Cheers.

I was going to write something very similar. The stretch phase of flowering uses alot of nitrogen as its going through its huge growth spurt that happens when plants are put into flowering.

I use Foxfarm products and follow there feeding schedule, all their products contain Nitrogen except Beastie Bloom 0-50-30 and Big Bloom which contains next to nothing at .01-.3-.7 even their root drench and micro brew contain nitrogen. I also use soil for a medium. It's a mix of my own creation thats 50% pro-mix. I'm fully aware pro-mix is inhert but the soil half is very hot. Also due to the short length of time in veg there is still a large amount of nitrogen available in the soil to last far into the bloom. If your talking about a hydro grow then you are correct and we are comparing apples to oranges.

I stand by my previous title! cheers

You should GRADUALLY add more P and K and lower the N levels when moving to flowering, in all mediums.I never used pro mix or fox farm products as they are unavailable around this part of the blue marble. It doesn't matter what your mix is - if you feed once a week or more you would be better moving gradually from grow to bloom nutrients. If your bloom nutrient mix contains enough N for the first half of flowering it would suck balls for the second half of flowering.

Let me clarify. The soil mix has enough N to last for the first half of flowering. The N in the nute mix covers the second half. I hope this clears things up.
It's to bad those items are not available in your area. I think you might like them. cheers and thanks for the response.

Using pre-fertilized soil is like gradually decreasing a balaced NPK fertilizer, so its pretty much the same method. If there will be enough N for flowering depends on how long you veg.

Personally, I don't even own a PH meter of any kind, I use straight tap water, never had an issue. I use FFHF and perlite, with Technaflora's recipe for success nutes. I stop veg nutes the watering before the last in veg. Then I begin flowering nutes the second watering after the switch in light cycle. Works great for me.
