Will this setup get me a decent yield??

How many watts is your "Super HPS"? And, as said above, u have the potential to get a few oz's... Depending on many factors, like container size, nutes, care, pruning, good watering skills, like not over watering, and others.... U could even use the MH and HPS together during both phases and might get a better quantity of a yield, and better quality bud, too... U could look into setting up a CO2 system, like the fermentation method with a 1/2 gal of water in a 1 gal milk jug, with one lb of sugar, and a few packets of active dry yeast, and refill it every week... these things will all help your small setup live up to itz full potential... Dont forget fans and good temps...

Whoa whoa fermentation method, never heard of this sounds interesting. is that all you need to make that happen is household products? or do I have to buy something else. and unfortunately I didnt get a dual ballast so I can only run 1 bulb at a time for now. And the bulb is a 400-Watt SUPER H.I.D.

@lordjin, At the moment I dont have a hygrometer, it is on the way in the mail with a few other little things. basically I was just wondering when you really need to worry about that stuff.

Thanks again guys you make this really easy for a noob lol

Just as long as you're not above 50% for any prolonged period you should be fine.

dont know if u in usa but at home depot u can buy a cheap temp/humidity guage made by accurite for like $3

and a fan blowing air around area helps with humidity

CO2 can help but you will need to control your fans precisely.

You can get two oz a plant if you veg long enough, train the canopy, give it proper nutrients, light the proper distance, good ventilation, enough root space, and keep pests away.

I averaged 2 zips a plant from 4 plants under a 400w on my first indoor grow.
Hey i have a question, can i veg with 400w HPS with 18/6 light cycle for a couple of weeks than just change the light cycle to 12/12 and flower with my HPS??

That should work well. it will be more than you would get from cfl lights.

and so i've decided to do a little test myself with these 2 White widow seedlings, I have had them planted for about 3 days now, I have read so much on when to start feeding your seedlings nutrients, so many different answers but most are saying 3-4 weeks. I am going to start feeding one of the plants 1/4 str nutrients in another 2 days and the other one in another week from then, and then I will see what kind of effects they have on the plant in early growth, im sure many people have done this before but ill upload pictures for anyone who hasnt.

30 litres?? wouldnt it be around 18 or 19?
because soil is cheap and you are doing a scrog, to give your self the best chance i would go for more soil than you need
because you have to veg longer anyway to fill the screen, so you could get that extra root mass in which in-turn could give you 1-2 more oz
the larger your root mass the large your yield
and its harder to mess up with more soil, as soil works as a buffer
but yes you could get a way with 18ltr pots

when you repot the plants there a lot of food in that extra soil, so its best not to feed for the first 2 week
look this is the bottom of my 35ltr pot
i got this root mass in a short time by making plant run low on food and let the soil dry out
i did not give it any nutes till i sow some yellow leaves and then stated feeding it
it was in veg for 6 weeks

ohh ok i see what your saying, ok my only other question is should I keep these seedling 3" under my CFL light for now or can i go ahead and put them like 28" below my 400w MH ?

*sorry, also do you guys think I can fit 2 or 3 plants under that one scrog? or only one at a time?

i would keep the seedling under the cfl light till they are 6" tall and would only let the soil dry out a bit till then before watering
when they are 6" tall you can put them under the 400w mh and let the soil dry out more before watering
how many plants to use ?
when they are 6" tall you should easy tell if you have any weak plants, also if you can take a cutting off each and flower it off, would be a good ideal
before you think if to keep all of them or not, if you get a male in a scrog and use one plant its all over, no bud, but if all female.
check for any stretched plants, you want is plants with thick stems and lots of nodes, if you have weak plant ( stretched plants with low nodes on)you should bin them
i would use 60ltrs of soil total
so if you use one plant, i would use a 60ltr pot
topping and lst will help
