Growing Autos with no lights at all

Hey Guys-
This is my first run with things in the MJ department. Due to space in house and neighbor proximity I was thinking about trying to grow some autos ( Lowryder 2 and Autoberry) just in front of a really sunny window. Just with the good ole sunlight and no artificial lighting.This isn't going to be for distribution, I have legit. family that needs medication (can't smoke, need volume for edibles) so the 8-9 weeks that the autos report from start to finish I know won't be feasible without supplemental light but has anyone done this with moderate sucess? Oh, I am in the Tri state area ( NJ, PA, NY) if that helps with sun light determination. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks guys :)

just get some cfls, I've tried using a window and it didnt work very well at all. Plus with neighbor proximity why would u want it in the window anyways?

How many plants are you thinking of growing? I would get a light meter and see where the best place to put them is. Or you can build a little grow tent or cabinet and use some fluorescent lights or T5s instead of the window Idea.

Oh and it will smell a lot so you might not want to grow to many plants because your whole house will smell like MJ. I think NJ is medical now, right? If you are there you might be better off buying at a dispensary. If you are in another of those states mentioned that are not medical MJ states I would really think twice about growing the way you are thinking. The neighbors most likely will be able to smell it. I dont know about those strains but every strain I ever grew was pretty intense. I opened my tent once and had my door to my room opened and 2 minutes later my wife, who was was 2 floors below me, said she smelled it. So be careful.

u can get decent lighting for like $20 u can get 8 26w CFLs (2x4-pack) walmart/ homedepot carries them get a box of each 2700k and 5000k i also live in the same area and i sure cannot put my bitches in the window for all too see..unless i wanna get my grow op shut down..:wall: dont risk it bro

Thanks for the advice O- I could do a light system in an unfinished basement but there is not ventilation ( think old creepy, one window on the far side type of basement) so I think the smell would be more of an issue down there but lights wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately I am not in NJ to get medical MJ. I was hoping to have 3 or 4 plants going at a time. Oh damn the pungent aroma of this plant!

im using a cabinet in the basement. just a small area but works great til i can get out into the corn fields lol

I'm currently growing a Pure AK Auto in my window. She does grow a little slower, but damn she is healthy and happy. Try it out man!

dude tht plant it wayyy streched...but it does look healthy, if u not concered about yield go for it unless ur gunna put it fully outside some time for flowerr

Not to take over your thread but how much do autoflower seeds cost in us dollars. I don't understand on the sites.

The websites usually convert it for you right before you purchase, The seeds aren't expensive, its the shipping thats a bitch

I bought 5 fem. AutoBerry and 10 regular LowRyder 2 for approx $110 us dollars with stealth shipping. Placed the order early last week and have been looking forward to the mail every day. They are coming from the UK so it may be a bit though.
