temp. question

so im a newbie to growin and i have an attic type set up. i havnt planted or germinated yet because im not sure how hott a plant can get. ive been doin research on this site for like two weeks and im pretty sure its like the last thing im not sure about. i live in south eastern u.s. and its gonna be gettin very hott soon any help will be appreciated

Anything consistently above 90 degrees will be trouble. Are they in a small enclosed area you can vent or are they just in the attic?

75-85 cannabis grows best. above 85 below 70 growth pretty much stops. try to get you some lowryder beans in... seed to finish in 2 mo. probably youre best bet for an attic grow.

what kind of lights are you using and how large is the space? This will make a significant difference on the temp inside the grow room. Before I germ'd my first set I left a combo temp and humidty reader in the grow room (temp was 65 and RH was 70). I put a dehumidifier near the grow room and waited until I got the RH to around 50. After that I set up the lights and fan, left them on for 48 hours and found the temp increased from 65F to 83F were it then stabalized. Keep in mind too that when you get to flowering you'll benefit from getting a 5-10'F drop in temp when the lights are off. If can figure out how to make these things happen before you germ the whole process will be much easier for you. Good Luck!
