The Illusion of choice

you jokers do you really believe rich people bank with commercial banks considering the one consistency throughout history is the rich hating even sharing space with the poor, did you look at the first picture where the banks ceos are also in office, thier is no coincidence with that and a recession.

if you look at the founder of the monetary system he said the goverment should never answer to a federal bank the fact that a federal banks ceo is in office aswell is just... well yea keep blaming the poor... its all thier fault it was never a trap to begin with.. oh noo ohh noo not a chance

Some one thought we have a democracy in the US. It's actually a republic. Unless youre a millionaire you probably wont be running for the office of president any time soon. Lack of a choice of candidates who are electable shows something, If there are only 2 guys who can actually get elected then the rest dont matter not even if there were a hundred candidates.

What the hell are you talking about "New Strategy" or "Tantrum" - this is not new, I am simply pointing out facts and you just deny it and avoid it. So what is your point really? What the hell are you fighting for? Obama is against everything you stand for and so is Romney you fucking dumbass. Don't you have anything to intelligent to say?

Incidentally, you can "choose" to sit home on election day if you like.

Is that better?

Unless you've been out there YOURSELF campaigning in the PRIMARY for a candidate you believe in, I don't think you have a lot of room to claim "illusion of choice".

In a Democracy, the "choice" is only as good as you make it!
Abdication is rarely an honorable/viable choice. cn

yea did you watch the blackwater video, cause i would rather the troops didnt try to liberate me, i dont want tanks driving down my road with some chump hyped up on being shouted at alpha male behind the gun or wheel, i see liberation as being free of bullshit and plus its nice to see you make assumptions...from france.. fucking hell do you even question anything or just make wild assumptions! troop withs guns...thats called liberation, switch the situation around, arabs start turning up at your door in tanks with loaded machine guns driving round the street smashing into cars, adding lead shrapnel graffiti everywhere and then turn to you and say we are liberating you...bullllllshit, people join the army for personal gain, if no one turned up to war then how would there be a war

Where do you come up with this bunk? Not only is what you say wrong, its actually the exact opposite of the truth.

Rich Americans not only pay tax, they pay MORE tax than poor people. Its the POOR in America who aren't paying any income tax!

Not just more in absolute terms but higher in terms of percentages too.

The top 1% of Americans (ie "the rich") pay fully 36% of all collected tax revenues.
Meanwhile the bottom FIFTY percent pay a net average of 2% of income tax revenues.
The bottom 40% of American pay on average ZERO net income tax.

In fact, if you look at the distribution of actual taxes paid (not the fantasy rhetoric of class warriors), America has the most progressive income tax system on the planet. More than France, more than Sweden.

Here's a reference, if you don't believe me:
http://www.ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income-taxes.html
'Two highly-paid BBC executives earning more than £100,000 a year have been dodging paying income tax by having their earnings paid into service companies.
there
ya go now what was you saying about its the poor that dont pay tax and thats the problem....

Your not from France, your from England. I bet your grandparents were happy to see us Americans join the allies. I bet the french were happy to see us liberate them. I know we were not the only ones, but we were there! I don't need to switch the situation around, my forefathers took steps to assure that won't happen.

The numbers he gave you were for America. Why do we care about BBC executives not paying their proper POUNDS to the government?! Thats your problem!

Tecnically accurate, but I beg to differ, We are SUPPOSED to have a republic, but it's totally been turned into a democracy and is 100% Mob Rule now. The last cookie crumbled with the 17th Amendment. Like B Franklin said "A Republic, IF YOU CAN KEEP IT, maam." we weren't able to keep it.

If you don't see that Obama is't one of us by now, then hope is lost for you sir.
what is this "us" ??? All is lost on the fools who supported Ron Paul knowing that he would NEVER get the nod to run as the GOP candidate..but as you say he is to weak to run independent and could never generate enough energy and excitement to break the chains of this two party system. Damn you Ron Paul for not being strong enough to make a change.

Examples? cn
Canna Sylvan complained that Obama is the reason he did not receive his earned income credit. He claims that 500 dollars more in earning this year caused him to be placed in a tax bracket paying 30% more. I called BS and told him exactly why this is not possible..He is still bitter. I'm still confused as to how can you expect EIC, but be against Affordable Health Care.. Seems rather stupid and crazy to me. It's like going against your own interest. Only in America.

i was kind enough to point out that he received a tax break for the last two years as part of the ARRA. they expired this year.

the problem here is a failure to communicate. canna sylvan thinks that his taxes have gone up under obama, but they haven't. they went down temporarily and then they reverted back to the same level as before.

btw, is ron paul winning yet?

Taxes did go up during this 4 year term, Inflation is a tax that never needs a vote and isn't represented. You got $200 more back in income tax, but paid $600 extra in inflation. That is a negative 400 net for you. looks like you paid.

i got back way more than $200, try closer to a couple thousand overall.

and as we've discussed before, i don't really notice the type of inflation you're talking about in my food bill, it's pretty marginal.
