It can be yoursThe first one is rather cool and unique looking. I like it.
Yes, we mass produce. We never claim to be innovative in any way. But I dont agree that they have a 'Chinese mass produced' look, maybe I am biased thoughThey do kind of have that "Chinese-mass-produced" look. The kind of look usually associated with cheaper made glass. No offense to you or your glass blowers at all, They could be and probably are very well made.
I probably wouldnt have replied but since you brought my name in it. My glass is artsy glass. Your glass is production glass. Neither is better or worse, its just different. Mass produced glass uses more clear than color. Clear is already in tube form, color (generally) is not, so its much faster to make stuff fast. You wont find china mass produced wigwags, or oil anything, for the most part. Just dry spoons and sometimes small bubblers.Yes, we mass produce. We never claim to be innovative in any way. We think (and so does our US, UK, AU and CA costumers) they are well made.
I have looked thrugh 'researchkitty's' work, while we could do the same (very cool) work as he/she does, it would simply not be profitable for us.
We have equipment worth more than $150.000, so once we fire up the torches, we damn better blow some glass.
I totally understand why many of you prefer glass work done by blowers like researchkitty.
I have just done a deal with a member from here, both a pipe and a 7mm thick glass bong. I look forward to an HONEST review.
Well put kitty! +1 rep to yaI probably wouldnt have replied but since you brought my name in it. My glass is artsy glass. Your glass is production glass. Mass produced glass IS STILL BOROSILICATE. Just like any pipe I make, or any other glassblower here.
What you pay for when you buy "rk" glass is a lot of time and excessive color. What you pay for when you buy "production" glass is a lot less of time and a lot less of color, hence the price differences.
There is nothing wrong with production glass, or artsy glass, its the Apples vs Oranges. Most production glass comes from the USA now, not China or India, while some still does it just isnt as dominant as it used to be.
Anyhow, Hopefully people wont think of us as competitors, we're not. All glass is welcome for sale here. Apples vs Oranges.
Love to see em!Well said Kitty
btw....we mass produce bubblers and very soon we start to 'spam' oil domes. I might send you one for a review, if you are interested.
Yeah, its simple enough. We will make the entire Rig(?) I am not sure of the correct term...Love to see em!
For mass production oil domes, just buy a 14/19 and saw it off one inch above the grind/tube connection. Then melt the saw marks and voila, there's your oil dome. Only use the torch to melt the tip of it thats all nothing more nothing less. That's what the local lathe shop does so their tubes have oil domes. Its very quick and if you sell em for even $5 a piece your profitable. When you have some, I'll surely review one in an honest fashion. Who can say no to glass at your door?
