I've heard people here claim they get 2.5 grams per watt. I'm not saying I believe it. Not everyone is trying to maximize grams/watt, but it seems to me that among those who are, more and more are getting one g/w. More realistic and probably a good average is.5 g/w. On the other hand, I don't believe any of what I read and only half of what I see around here.Just wanted to open up the floor and ask what types of per light yields you guys get with hydro. dont forget to give us info on length of time it took you.
i'm also like that. I read everything with a filter and sort out the good and the bad.I've heard people here claim they get 2.5 grams per watt. I'm not saying I believe it. Hey phil, nice seeing you again. hey i made a feeding chart would you like to review it? i would love 1gpwI've never seen or even heard of 2.5g per watt. I saw a Heath Robinson thread where he got 2.2gpw on a vertical stadium grow. That's probably the best I've ever seen. I don't think 2gpw is even possible on a vertical grow. You just don't have the footprint. I never used to calculate gpw before joining this site. Everyone here seems to live by it. I always just calculated zips per plant. Now that I started using gpw I think on a horizontal grow anyting 1gpw or over is considered solid. I'm usually around 1gpw. I've gotten as high as 1.2gpw
A lot of growers i know set this to their standard as well.. But i'm an over achiever. I don't that mere .5 gpw, so im on here trying to learn to be better.I would say .5 gram per watt is a good standard... If you can do better it means your doing something right
do you have a link to anyone stating they are getting 2.5 gpw. that's more then 5 pounds per light. i personally don't believe it..4 gpw is a good pull. I got that on my last and hope to get .6-.8 this sence I didn't rush and nute burn them. But still .4 I'm happy. But yes it is possible to get 2.5 gpw but that's a ton of time and training. Not my style. Veg top and top. Flower let it grow. 14 weeks start to finish.
You don't necessarily need a bare bulb................a vertical cooltube can pull some pretty high numbers as wellWhat up Black. Send me over the feeding schedule. Would love to take a look at it.
You can get 2.5gpw for sure. You can't get it on a horizontal light setup though. You would need a vertical bare bulb stadium grow. Bunch of plants on racks in a circle around a bare bulb. Really hard to do but not impossible. There is a thread in here by Heath Robinson where he got 2.2gpw I think. Here's a link...(https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/149998-heaths-flooded-tube-vertical.html)
Bare bulb in a vertical setup is much better than cooltubes if you are going for yield. In a stadium grow you only have 1 light (maybe 2 but that is a waste) so the cooling needs are significant. So usually growers go bare bulb to reduce footcandle and PAR value loss through cooltube glass. You don't necessarily need a bare bulb................a vertical cooltube can pull some pretty high numbers as well
And a stadium grow isn't as efficient as a proper circular VSOG (think "Coliseum" or "Cage")...........with some stacked 600s even a shitty grower could pull of some decent yields.
Well we cant all be as good as you,so why don't you lend a hand in helping people achieve better results instead of telling people how sucky they are. These sites should be for sharing and gaining knowledge. If we all where master growers we wouldnt need sites like this. I know when I sign in,most of the time I'm looking for answers or to gain knowledge of different tech stuff. Comments like yours only undermine the confidence of fellow growers and as I see it that is bad for all of us.We need to stick together as a community and help each other out. This isnt a pissing match,if you do better then others share your knowledge and offer advise. You will gain much more respect from others,I will mention AL B. FUCT as an example. He is brutally honest in his opinions, but is a well of knowledge and he shares it with all who ask. In fact I think he puts in about 40hrs a week on this site just to help others out. MY 2 cents..4gpw is not a "Good pull"
my first harvest i pulled .7 gpw,
after the 10th one im up to 1.2gpw with two 1000's.
it's really all about you, how much you read and research, Anyone can do ANything its all up to the person,
i laugh in people faces when they think .5 is the "standard"
no your doing something really wrong, either in the room design, or something is wrong with you,
but thats not good at ALL
.5 grams a watt is doing pretty damn good in my book, especially if the girls look healthy at the end.
I remember reading Al b. talking about going from a lb to 1.5 lbs per run.
As far as I can see, there are only a hand full of people that consistently get over 1g/w and that includes commercial grows.
IMHO, It takes a lot of cycles to get really good, that is unless you were born with some kind of gift, and that case I'm jealous.
