What happened to my plant ???

Hi, my one month old plant (most probably a sativa) started very well under cfl lamps, but at some point it stopped growing and tips of very first true leaves began to turn yellow. I thought it needs fert, so I added some liquid fert (9% N) and before that I had poured some solid fertilizer on top of soil. now this morning I wake up and see my plant leaves are hanging low and I guess it is dying. this is my first grow. btw the soil in pot smells like strong urea. now I wanna know can a plant die from overfert just overnight or there is something else I've done wrong. thank you in advance. pics from before and after the incident are included.

They can die in less than 24 hours from over fertilizing. It also looks over watered and I think you might want to look into getting some better potting soil.

Overfert can and will kill a plant..fast too...so throw out that soil and transplant into some new and don't feed it anything..it will die...and when it was yelloing the first time it was probably overwater, not overfeed...with CFLs when you first plant a seed you might not really need to water for a couple of weeks, since CFLs generate little heat and baby plants use little water...it will take forever for your soil to dry, and MJ likes dry pots.

I think your soil's too rich for that seedling, as said above, get a decent potting soil.. & remember less is more (better to underfeed than overfeed)

The soil looks a bit odd to me. Like the others said get potting soil. Overwatering looks like its also an issue.

Good luck bro! It's not dead yet.

Your container is huge, very easy to overwater like that. I would scrape off whatever solid nutes you top dressed with for starters.

Where is your soil originally from?.

notice all the heavy white crust on the planters .. real hard water mate ..get distilled ..ph it and no fert for a while..put them in smaller planters as its easier to guage your waterings,,,,, after a couple waterings with ph adjusted distilled water then u can add....(just half doses of calmag /calmagic or one of those products (i prefer the 2% n variety).....let them dry and flush well with this mix......keep that hard water in check/

I agree repot it into nice soil with 1/3 perlite into a smaller pot as they have a tiny root sytem. Also the piss smell is from overwatering and so is the stunting, you have overwatered so badly mold is all over the pot and soil surface. After repotting reduce watering bring in a osc fan and bring the cfls closer.
