Hmmm, a thread at RIU that goes south after 10 posts? That's about par for the course . Great contribution to the OP's thread, btw.
Whatever dude. You're obviously offended and I really could care less. I tried to be cool but you're obviously too immature to understand I wasn't trying to be a dick. I was just asking a question. Del got it and was cool. You on the otherhand have a stick up your ass for some reason.

Yields are largely affected by wattage and plant structure. Veg time and plant numbers obviously affect total yield as well which is really what you should be concerned with. Under your 600 with 6-9 plants, it shouldn't be difficult to yield 16-20 ounces. In-short, look at your light footprint and fill it with plants, if you know how to grow then the total yields will come.

Actually, I never just 'pop into threads and drop pictures'. It's usually to back up a point because talk is cheap. I look forward to the day when you stop talking and start posting pictures ;).
why are you answering something which was asked of me................very strange.

Depending on the wattage of your light (250w, 400w, etc...) and the distance you are able to keep it from your canopy every light has an optimal footprint. Here is a handy chart that I use. Out of all that I have seen it is the most accurate. Lumens are actually a measure of light visible to the human eye and really have no use when growing plants. More important are PAR value and Footcandles. So I don't buy into any of the "watts per square foot" or "lumens per square foot" talk that goes on.

thread bump for the light chart above. I have been reviewing a number of threads on lighting, and I thought this was a unique presentation that was of value.

Alright guys ive been reading through a couple of threads and ive been seeing people harvesting up to like 7 ounces off 1 plant and other amounts around that mark. In that particular thread the grower only used a 400w light if i read correctly. I am using a 600w hps and currently growing 3 GHS lemon skunks and my estimated yeild people have said will be around 8-9 ounces. This is making me wonder why can so much be produced off growing 1 single plant??

and would it be more productive in the long run to instead of growing 3 or 4 plants to just grow 1 or 2 ?

sorry for the noob question
I wondered similar things. Then I started seeing people who were vegging for like 8-12 weeks - considering I only veg for 3 weeks I put a lot of their extra yield down to that.

The guy who said to concentrate on getting quality and enjoying what you're doing has the right idea in my opinion.
