My seedling grew upside down. This morning there was nothing, but this afternoon, it broke soil and the taproot was about an inch out of the ground. dug it up gently and righted its position. will it be okay? also why do they say dont touch taproot?

It will be fine, they say not to touch it because it is very fragile and easy to damage.

If you were really gentle, it'll probably be okay. You don't want to touch a taproot (if you can help it), cause you don't wanna stress it out, and if you do you should wash your hands real well/wear gloves cause we naturally have salt secreting out of our pores, and that isn't good for a plant.

As long as you didn't squish the taproot you should be okay. I had to do the same thing to 2 of my 4 plants and they ended up fine.

Thanks guys. You see the thing is, is that I had my wife do it for me. Not quite sure of her handy work though. i wasnt home. Should I did it up to check it out or leave it be? and also should I go with a light schedule now? its a jock horror feminized autoflower.

If she says it's in the upright position, I wouldn't touch it. Go by her word. Because by replanting it she stressed out the seedling. You stress it out too much and you'll kill it.

24/0 or 18/6 for light after it surfaces. 18/6 is probably recommended.

I would leave it be. I'm not sure what you mean by light schedule. I hear some people say they don't stick it under a light till they pop soil, I veg with 24/0 and just put my seedlings with the rest of my vegging plants (before they even pop soil). I'm a noob, but I haven't had any issues with seedlings, yet.

.

asking because it is now surfaced. the cotyledons are sticking out now as i had her keep that part above soil as she said the seed was not on the end.

Yeah, I'd throw that little bastard under a light. Good luck.

If you smoke on a regular you can keep the seeds from the pot you buy and grow those too. The only problem is quality assurance lol
