I've been thinking a lot about people and college and what people want to be. i know what i want to do, i have a ton of things i want to be but going with the first which is easiest. but i still dont understand why its so hard for people to figure out what they want to be. i ask god why its so easy for me to know and other spend their whole lives trying to figure it out. so who out there is clueless as to what they want to be? and tell me why is it so fucking hard to figure out? need shelter+ need food+ you and one thing you like to do= job

Well you can't always find a job doing exactly what you like. There's not always job security that way. Personally, my decision wasn't hard either. Plus, sometimes people have an idea in their head about what a certain job would be like, and then they get into it and realize it wasn't what they thought it was going to be. When I first started college, I wanted to be a medical examiner. I shadowed one for a week and I did great, actually. He was a great mentor and I thought that was the job for me. Then a toddler on a slab made me realize I couldn't handle all of the aspects of the job. So I changed my direction.

I want to do tons of things. I'll get around to most of them eventually, it takes work to get into a position to do what you really want to do.

My first choice of jobs was aircraft mechanic. I didnt want to do that forever, it wasnt as I thought it would be. Did it for over 6 years. Welding / fabricating I liked but I been doing carpentry for 30 years now and I really enjoy it.
