About to start a grow, got a lighting question

I asked this in the CFL section with no luck, maybe it wasnt the right area. Anyways, Im getting close to completing my cabinet to start my first grow (delicious seeds cotton candy) and have been contimplating on the lighting. I have a 6 fixture vanity with 12 26w 6500k cfls on it that I plan on starting my seedlings with. Now my cabinet is 1.5ftx3ftx5ft and Im using a 4inch inline with carbon filter for exhaust and have a passive intake (for now if temps are fine). Im really wanting to try and get 3 or so plants goin if not ill settle for 2 and what I'm wondering is what the best lighting option for flowering would be. I had planned on getting a 250w mh/hps for the rest of veg and flower but was wondering if anyone could give advice on to whether or not the cfls (switching to 2700k at flower of course) would be the best option instead of the hid since the cabinet is fairly small. Any insight or advice is appreciated

For flower, yes, get a HPS, you can then use your 6500K CFL's as supplimentary lighting.

It's always nice to mix you spectrum (3:1). For seedlings and veg try replacing 4 of those 6500K's with 2700K's.

i thank you would be happier with the mh..hp.....id even think about getting a dimmable 400....i really like mine...alot more fun than cfls

i would get hid for flower those will work good for veg or cloning though.

Thanks guys! I do have 2700ks I plan on doing the 3:1 ratio but I just had all these in for testing, makin sure I wasnt going to burn down the place haha. I guess that settles it. Going to get the cabinet finished and get these beans germin' and go scoop up a mh/hps in a couple weeks when cashflow comes in haha.
