Whats your light bill?

Sup guys. Started this thread to guess what my light bill will be close to. If ur using lights like t5, hps... all the high powered bright lights. Just what is a normal bill for you every month with all the household applienences included.

You could always do the calculations:

(hours per day)*(days)*(kW)*($/kWh) = your bill. For instance if I ran a 600w light 12/12 for 30 days: 12*30*.6*$0.12 = $25.92.

You can find the price you pay per kWh on your electric bill.

When I started growing I changed out all the light bulbs around my house with cfls. I have a really small grow, 600w (cfl) on 12/12 and 100w (t5) on 24/0. Only an oscillating fan, not sure what the wattage is. But my electric bill went up $5. I was excepting it to go up about $25.

Bills come every 2 months here, so 60 days.......Stage 1 power is $.06/kwh and Stage 2 is $.09/Kwh...


clones: 400 Watts of CFL, 50 watts of Exaust.
24x60x.45x$.09=$58.32

Flowering: 1000 Watt HPS, Air pumps, Exaust fan, Circulatory fans.
24x60x1.1x$.09= $142.56

$58.32 + $142.56 = $200.88 / 2 = $100.44 Per month.

I produce roughly 110 Grams / Month (a quarter Pound). you do the math.....

lol, you guys are going to hate meMy bill in a 4 bedroom house was only $98.With a 1000w 12/12, and 2, weeks 600w 18/6

2 400w 1 hps and mh, 5 mini sunblaster 55w cfls, 7 sunblaster strip lights, 3 6"inch fans, 2 12" fans, air scrubber and one 125v computer power supply powering 4 mini 15v computer fans, my bill went up by 32$ mind you im also growing an entire garden in the basement not just my sweet ladies total usage for my girls MIGHT be 27$

way to much!!!!!...lol,,,500watts OF CFLs....300 HPS (2x150watt) and 300 watts worth of fans....mybill went up 34-37$...from 80$ so...i pay about 360$ for 3 months (only 120$/360$ on weed grow)

compared to my fucking brother that has windmill gen./ solor panals...the city power company usally pays him...mad funny...but to risky for what i do...u need a city inspector to come out ever 3 months to make sure everthing is coupastedic (think that how u spell that)

Just had my 600w MH 24/0 for 4 weeks last month and bill was $151 with everything else appliances included. This month running two 600 watters on 12/12 should be about the same. My rate is .10¢kW which isn't that bad.

You guys are lucky. Unless I file for financial support I pay $0.12 on the lowest tier which then bumps up to $0.28. Lowest tier is only ~200kWh which means running my 600w at 18hrs costs

324 total kWh. 200*.12 = 24 124*.28 = 34.72

$58.72 total for the 600w which isn't bad but at the same time I'm now paying $0.28/kWh for everything else. My fish tanks which generally run me nothing now cost me ~$100/month to warm... I realistically pay $100-120 to run my 600w each month.

My LED/fans setup only uses about 500watts per hour tho'
