They should stop "breakfast with mom" crap at alementary schools. That shit is depressing. What about the kids that have no mother? They have to eat breakfast alone while all of their friends eat, laugh, and have a good time with their mom. Same goes for "breakfast with dad".

That's like when they try to ban PB&J because one kid is allergic to peanuts. Society should not have to conform to the needs of a single person dip shit.

You obviously don't have kids with allergies.....Should a child have to be home schooled because they are allergic to something? We have to deal with this at our kids school because of a student, it's just something you have to roll with these days.

Sure does seem like more and more kids are having these dangerous allergies though for sure. I've never heard of something banned all together, usually they have the kids in the class with the student wash their hands after lunch, and not bring in snacks for the class with nuts in them. No biggie.

You're right I do not have any kids with allergies. If I did, I would not for one second put a stipulation on a public school that no other child can bring a certain ingredient onto school grounds for the sake of one person, even if it it were my child. I'm not advocating to force the kid with allergies to go on a field trip to a Jiff factory, but the other kids shouldn't be held back from doing so over one person. Washing hands or not bringing it into the class if fine and are reasonable precautions. But there are schools that ban it all together which is bull shit.

There is always one bad apple in the bunch that ruins something for everyone, regardless if it was their choice or intention. I'm tired of those people getting their way while the rest of us are left feeling like their problem is our own which it is not.

It's not the parents doing it, the schools have great liability if they don't address this situation. There are only a handful of insurance companies that insure schools, and they have to address this in the loss control done by the insurer. It goes past parents and the kids.....I was in the business for a long time, I've dealt with it personally.

I definatly see your point, it's kind of like banning recess because kids can get stung by a bee and they get a bad reaction. Things are just different now days than they were when we were kids (don't know your age obviously).

Anyway, my idea is about road construction. I think a DOT panel should have to meet and work out on a friggin' map all the work being done in the State, and make sure that projects don't overlap each other, making it damn near impossible to get anywhere all summer. If traffic has to alter their route, shouldn't the alternate route NOT be worked on as well? Seems like a no brainer to me!
