NYC Diesel Grow.... Wish me luck

Hellooo, fellow growers. I recently messed up my White Widows (still striving/living) in a DWC grow so I took advantage of the NYC Diesels that were doing excellent outside. I'll try not to have SUPER long posts because I know some people don't like those. I wish everybody on RIU can help me, teach me a few things, give ANY advice, and enjoy the grow.

So my set-up is 4x4, 8ft tall (good amount for pure sativa).
400w MH (for veg)
400w HPS (for flowering)

Here are a few pics to update you all from start to present.
Currently a month and 5 days old.
2.5 weeks in veg. Pistils on 2 of the 3. If you're wondering about the 4th, it had a hard time but still growing outside.

Should my plants be THAT crowded? Is that how they're suppose to look?
Any advice, comments, remarks would be worthy!

Some cheap $2.50 bags of soil from ALDI's, lol.

UPDATE (3 weeks + 2 days in veg)

I would've made this update exactly at 3 weeks but I felt like complete crap but that's over.
I LST'd some of the branches to get the plant a little wider. Get those tops even amount of light. I hope these come out to some huge colas and yield at least an oz per plant. Any suggestions, comments, regards, or any type of criticism would be appreciated.

I get 1.5-2 ozs per plant with a pretty simple setup. FYI soil is very important use Black Gold, Happy Frog or Fox Farm Ocean for best results from bagged soil. Don't skimp on the important things: Soil, Ferts, strains and Environment. You will be sorry!

Scrog and LST grows help when dealing with space issues of #'s of plants you can grow. I have looked into both and decided I would rather my plants do there own thing although these methods work great depending on your situation!

I barely had any money so I had to go the cheap route. I spent all my money on the hydroponic setup and ended up a failure.
I will most def buy some good nutes/soil after some money comes in... UNLESS this grow finishes perfectly as expected.

Understood! the plants look good Hydro is just a hard way to start in my opinion! By no means am I being negative! Hope your Hydro turns out well.

The hydro setup is done, that was with my White Widows. These NYC Diesels were grown in soil from start.

Why do some of my leaves have these spots on them?
I'm not worried about the holes because that's probably just some bugs I can take care of but as far as the spots go, I don't know.


BTW, I won't be updating until flower (end of this month [May 2012]) because I know people, including myself, don't care much for veg.

NYCDeisel is a BEAST of a strain. it is in its own class of marijuana entirely... you see people starting threads like "Best strain" ect and talking about unknown, raandom strains, but the truth of it is they dont know shit....

NYCD is a 9 times CC winner. theres a reason for that...

you WON'T be disappointed.

While nobody from RIU helped me with my last simple question, I continued to grow my plants successfully.... (No thanks to anybody).
BUT ANYWAY, here's a couple of pics from how they look now.
This is only 7 days into flowering. ALL FEMALES

Fact: if Millions of people are smoking marijuana, then there has to be Millions of plants grown to supply that marijuana. your little grow doesn't meant shit.

Maybe you don't understand the difference in "holes" and "spots".
I love RIU, it's the only forum I use to gain knowledge on growing. The people here (excluding some idiots like yourself) are awesome. I didn't mean to offend anybody, just a little side BS that's irrelevant.
