My dogs are smart as ever. I have two APBT's, I can tell them"go get the ball" and they will go get the ball from the last place they left it.
I can ask them if they have to go to the bathroom. They will go sit by the door if they do.
When I feed them they know not to eat until I say its ok.

I'm in the process of teaching my female to turn off the lights on command.

I go into the bathroom and my chihauhau is following me and clinking as she walked...I turn around and she's eaten the plastic tape with whiteout...I start pulling it and out comes about 15 feet of this stuff...it was like a clown pulling scarves out of her mouth...only it wasn't funny. Luckily the whiteout pretty much stayed on the tape and she doesn't seem the worse for wear..though she might have a sore throat...as fast as I pulled that stuff out of her.

No bad dogs just bad owners! Black labs, yellow labs, chocolate labs, fairly intelligent breed. Golden retrievers are yellow labs breed with Irish Setters. No offense but, Irish Setters are one of the most high strung dumbest dogs. Do the math! And as far as pits it's really all about the owner. As someone stated earlier you have to show them your the alpha. If not you will have problems. But, that's with any breed. Imagine a 200lb mastiff who runs the house? Talk about a problem dog!

pitbulls are one of the most inbred dogs you can bye and thus makes them unstable as a bread good working dogs but not pets as they are bread for aggresion as the name pit bull they are for keeping bulls in line if you have to keep a 2ton animal in check and you are that small you got have a screw loos somware not dising you having one but thats what the bread is for

by inbred i mean every bread can be traced back to one breeding pair
Dobermans were breed for aggression. Yet, you won't find a more loyal dog to man. Lot's of canines are now inbreed. A very small percentage are not unfortunatley. And as far as breeds that work with cattle? Some of the smartest dogs out there, were breed for that specific purpose and make great loyal pets. Don't ditch a breed until you have either owned or worked one. And yes there are alot of problem pits out there. But, 90% owners fault. They have them to bring out there aggressive behavior. Poodles and smaller breeds like chiuauas are way more aggressive! They just don't do as much damage when they bite. And pound for pound chiuauas are the most aggressive breed dog known to man all 6lbs of them!

I know some animals who would use better punctuation and grammar than you if they had fingers. Also, you are an animal, sir. *growls*

Yep, that was me! lol. It's really not hard to raise a pitbull correctly. A lot of people are just dumb and lazy these days, a horrible combination for raising an animal.

I hear you! I have owned a pit for 6 years with no problems. She loves kids and other animals. Though, she doesn't like squirrels. Mainly my fault. Since she was a pup I've sent her after the little bastards on my bird feeders. If you don't have the time or the discipline Don't get a pit! They really are a wonderful breed if trained properly. I've trained around 100 and only 1 bad one. Total owners fault letting it do whatever he wanted. Wasn't even housebroken at 8 months old! Like I always say No bad dogs just bad owners!

My pet pig Dozer thinks he's a dog. Had him since he was 7 weeks old. He's now 19. Always been around dogs and is about the best weed sniffer going.

LOL! Get a pitbull from the right breeder and then say that you dumbass. I have 2 friends that have pitbulls, one has 2 and the other has 1. But all 3 pitbulls are some of the nicest dogs i've seen! And they also listened to commands really good! AND so easy to handle! All 3 were nice to my sisters little 2 pound chihuahua that I was baby sitting. Your just a dumbass.
pitbull yeh awsome dog thats why the american pitbull is band in the uk and if you understand what inbreading is then you would allways be weary of such breads dont get me wrong all dogs can be the same it is the power you need to stop such a dog when they misjudge things and go t##s up

I think there is some confusion about what inbreed means. It's the same as humans. Brothers and sisters. Mothers and sons. Boxers were inbreed alot in the 70's and now look. One of the highest rates of cancer and health issues of all canines. Not too many make it over 10 without shelling out big bucks to the vet. Pit's aren't so much inbreed here in the states. It's more buying pups from an aggresive line. As Josh said, buy from a reputable breeder. Even if it cost an extra hundred or two. That way you know what your getting. As far countries and cities banning pits that's due to the idiots who don't have the intelligence to raise a dog properly. I can only imagine how there kids will turn out!

Ok I know I said my dog are smart
But this morning I woke up to my dog snapping (kept hearing a snapping noise)

It was my puppy trying to bite the light coming in through the blinds lol
It was hilarious.

He would wait until the light touched his nose and then snap at it lol

He did it a good 20 times ,until he realized he couldn't catch the sun light
