Marijuana Seeds are too Expensive to Buy from Companies

Islam, I understand what you are saying, but then it doesn't sound like you have actually thought this through. Of course a bag of anything you buy in a country who's economy is like Afghanistan is going to cost you next to nothing, unless that item is highly in demand. I am sure grain and food is priced higher (although I do not know that for a fact).
Although Economics has a lot of flawed theories and like most things, assumes a lot, the basics are fairly sounds, as mentioned previously, Demand and Supply for starters. You have your big bag of seeds and you are in a field in Afghanistan. Great, what do you do now? How are all these people/customers - certainly not the ones in Afghanistan, they look down on it according to you - going to find out about your product? When you do find a way to tell them, how much is that going to cost you? In the interim while you are waiting for your first customer....who is going to pay for this, who is going to pay for you to eat, who is going to pay your accountant when you do taxes, your phone bills when you need to make calls...and this is assuming you just picked up your seeds at the side of a road. Lets not even get into the cost of producing these. Look in Land, Labour, Capital, and Enterprise...factors of production that will make you realise that your argument is well principled, but flawed in many ways.
I know of a company that enables people with good seed stock to sell it through them as a breeder, they give the person with the seeds the chance to give their own price, and they try to keep prices at max to 3 euro per seed. They hope to keep bringing down this price as they have the same thoughts as you in principle. You can find more info about them in the 600 Club on RIU.....

I'm the CEO of a small corporation in California and before things got off the ground, before customers and advertising, and all that, I already owed the government $1,000. Each year I automatically have to pay $800 in taxes just for being able to say my business is incorporated. The more I profit the more taxes I have to pay. And my company is just a web design firm. I couldn't even imagine the additional costs of running an illegal operation.

Also its not just about the cost of your product, it's your cost of advertising, rent, legal fees, taxes, government fees, equipment, worker's pay, health insurance, your own time. Once that's all figured out, then you got to figure what will people pay. You don't want to rip people off because then they won't buy, but you have to profit quickly just to stay a float, so your best bet is going with the market rate, which is basically supply and demand. Also kind of a weird thing I've notice personally, when I sell my services drastically below everyone else I don't get customers. People don't really trust the low prices. Right in the middle seems to be the sweet spot that makes everyone happy.

Take a look at Sensi Seeds, TGA, and Bomb Seeds for example. All available as pick and mix seeds from Attitude. Between these companies, who would you most likely buy from? I bet most will say TGA because its good genetics and reasonably priced. Yet Bomb Seeds, is way cheaper, but who the fuck is growing and bragging about bomb seeds? lol.

i second this, i found my favorite strain this year with a bagseed now and i let a male stick around to pollinate her, 9 seeds have already fallen off. hope the purple gene passes on in most of the seeds.

Not really overpriced. Those seed-laden buds could be used for commercial bud. It is still illegal to do, everywhere, it's very meticulous and time-consuming, and it takes up alot of space to do it right. You don't just stick one plant in a pen with another plant and hope they F%$&. It takes years and thousands of kilowatt hours to make the finest strains today. Bagseed is the product of hermaphroditism. If we didn't support breeders (who don't really make THAT much for the risk), then thousands of years of genetic improvement will be placed in the hands of people who can't see whats wrong with breeding with bagseed. That said, grow bagseed that you find. It was given to you for a reason!

Seed companies, you're probably getting seeds grown indoors, hence a loss of natural quality had they been grown outdoors in a natural environment.

rarely the truth, have grown about 5 bagseeds in my life, 3 were male, the other 2 were female. even the seed i got from reggie was seedless, the bagseed i have now was pollinated by a male i had as well, not a hermie though. very vigorous, and she has a wide range of color to her, some calyxs are even reddish-pink and purple. not to mention her smell is the strongest smell of blueberry ive ever smelled. i believe bagseeds can be cause by a male as well, you dont usually know the grower you get from but maybe he left a male in his field. dont let not knowing the genetics of seed stop you from growing it, every plant you grow you can learn something from it, why deny that knowledge and throw away that seed. you dont know its potential. check my sig if your unconvinced.
