Ya man, don't get a cat if you don't want one. Most cats are poor mousers. That's a living little mahf-ka that you gotta feed and scoop it's poop, and clean up it's hairballs and lop its balls off and $hit. If you do want a cat, get one. Mine is hilarious. He kills without hesitation or remorse and then presents the bloody entrails of his victims at my feet as if to say "THAT is what cat food looks like, not like NESQUIK cereal you monkey fa99ot". Every day he prays that he may grow into a tiger and feast upon the hapless bloated corpses of my whole neighborhood...

I got a mouse problem and also been considering on getting a cat but i am clueless of how long it will take for a cat to hunt those fuckers. I am a dog person got a great dane who recently turned 2

Shine is right! They have to not be house trained or else it's pointless. And I would say 3-4 cats is perfect.

Get cats (maybe 3) teach them you are the loving giant that looks after them, teach them they are the kings of your outside property and they will feel obligated to kill any lil pest that gets to close. One cat wont do any good, sooner or later a bigger creature than it will challenge and fock him up real good. My cat met his end when he has attacked by two pitbulls, his face was half ways hanging off and he still managed to escape and threw himself in the sewers, he never returned but he was a true soldier

No...cats tend to eat and kill more birds than rodents.
This is what we use to do.
Put out some Decon.
Get a tub and fill it with water. Lay a plank of wood from the ground up to the tub of water.
Once, the Decon starts taking effect. Those little bastards will go for the water.
They get so thirsty they can't resist. They go for a swim and there you go.
Nice way to get a lot of them to die in one spot. Easy clean up.
You may also check other open sources of water for dead rodents after you poison.
Keep a eye on your pets.

I had one big outdoor cat as a kid that was bigger and tougher then all the other cats around. About once a week he would get a gopher and bring it on the porch, blood and guts would be all over the porch. lol. He got also got a few rats and mice, but he didn't get a lot of birds, he did a few times though. I just think he was a big fan of gophers because I would see him stalking the holes a lot and would have one gopher a week. I think it just depends on the cat and what animals are around. If there are a lot of birds and a decent amount of rodents, then yeah, most likely a bird cat. But we had gophers everywhere so that's probably why he liked gophers.

I have 5 cats, had 6 until a few months ago... anyway I always have gifts on my porch in the morning (lots of birds and grasshoppers mice every once in a while... I have one cat that is lazy (or smart) she'll bring me avacados from the tree down the street (half eaten), or different food from garbage cans, the other day she brought me a pizza crust... stay high
the reason I have 5 and not 6... cat got poisoned... someone put out rat poison and it got 2 of my cats... we caught one in time the other didn't make it... be careful with your pets if you put out rat/mouse poison, I know from experience... Miss you Sam, you were my best cat buddy!!!!

My cat catches fucking squirrels IN the house. And the other one catches mice sometimes.
I don't doubt that outdoors they go for birds more often, as birds make pretty obvious targets of themselves... but for what it's worth, if you have mouse problems indoors, a cat will probably do some good.

my friend has a few stray cats they feed. so if theres alot of outdoor cats around then mice should be a rare sighting. u could try sticky tape and bait for now. idk if foxes eat mice n rats but i know they come around if there are cats living outside. so damn funny watching a fox steal a kitten from under a barn and run away.

you need a whole box of mean, nasty barn cats. the kind no one cries about when they get run over or taken by a hawk. we had 3 acres and about 4 cats.
