Yo brotha! welcome aboard. First off, my soil mix has changed slightly since "the big 40", but that was a huge grow from scratch, and ALOT of dirt had to be purchaced (260 yrds.) What I'm running now is closer to what I ran on "the big 6" last year, only now I've been adding as much Pro-mix, as Manna mix, and am loving it. Even outside I'll be using it in my smart pots, and mixed into the composted/re-used soil mixes in the ground. I'm only growing in the spot from " the little 12" last year, and not shooting for trees, just nice ,fat ,bushes. I'll be starting an outdoor thread for 2012 any day now in the outdoor section. This garage will shut down after this run till fall.Afternoon from DixieLand Wheezer. I've been following your outdoor exploits since last summer and just found this thread today. I send a lot of people over to see those baby pools full of Dank from my little organic outdoor GC community. That was quite a garden show you put on for us. Many thanks. I always collect soil mixes from good growers when I see em. I have the soil mix from Big 40. Are you running the same mix with these gals.
Again, your grows are inspirational for all us outdoor growers. I'm strictly a G man, and wish I could do a legal grow. I'm running a few AOs this season and hope to get a nice male to breed to my Vortex/SAGEnSourD crosses. The cross is a nice stable strain, but a bit puny (maybe 8 zips on the biggest plants). I'm hoping the AO genetics might blow em up a bit. What were some traits on your AO breeder that you liked? It would be nice to know what to look for.
Anyway, these questions are not directly related to outdoor- just soil mix and Agent Orange breeding. Hope it's OK to post these questions in your perpetual grow thread. GreenJeans
oh yea....what part of "Dixie"? I'm originally a real Florida cracker....doesn't get any more "Dixie" than that.Afternoon from DixieLand Wheezer. My family is from the Sneads , Chattahoochie area.....I still have cousins all over those woods. Grew up in the south-East Bay area, and lived up in the Cross City , Old Town area for a while.......I love Dixie!!Thanks for the info Wheezer. I'll be watching for the new outdoor thread and will post up questions every now and then. Gotta fly under the radar in the Peach State brother don't ya know. I'm a Gawja Cracker. We're loaning N Fla to the yankees for a few years. I grew up 90 miles from St Marks up N of the big bend. That's smoked mullet and oyster and cheap beer country. We don't think nothin about hoppin in the truck and heading to the coast for a few days. When it all breaks down you'll have to think about comin home to your roots. In the mean time you're sure as hell makin your mark out West bro.
Awesome!! My family is from the Sneads, Chattahootchie area, still have cousins all over those woods. I'm from the bay area though, the southeast shores areas....Ruskin, Apollo Beach. Lived up north of there, in the Old Town, Cross City area for awhile too. Love good ol' Dixie!!
I'm really looking forward to gowing the AO. I've had a lot of success breeding the Vortex and runnin it outside the past few years. Good to meet a fellow cracker. Keep on keepin on, GJs
Nothin' really. I use my own version of super soil-less mix. I have my soil mix listed in my new outdoor thread "The big 18". I do inoculate with a compost tea, usually twice through an indoor grow, and 4 times outdoors, but if something starts looking hungry, I make a compost tea, with some Bio-link nutrients added. I don't really have a "set" tea that I make, I kinda wing it each time depending on the need at the time. It's very imortant IMO to be able to read your plants. If something indoor gets rally hungry looking, I'll do a light feeding of Age old Bloom 5-10-5 but that's rare. The cindy99 will be bombtastic! Beautiful grow, what are you feeding these bad ladies?
The CJ has been curing about a month, but those Vulcan phenos there were just pulled recently.......barely dry in those pics.damn wheezy the vulcan and the jones are beautiful they r both sooooo frosty, how long have these nugs been curing you know?
