My First Grow - Snowryder Short Stuff

I'd mainly be worried about your original socket. It looks like a regular lamp socket, and those are often rated 60w, occasionally 100 or 150w. If it's 60w, you're probably over it already, and definitely will be if you add any more lights later. If it's 100w, you're right at the limit, which means no more lights should be added. It doesn't look like a utility/high wattage socket to me, so I'd guess it's not 150w or up. To be safe, your best bet would be to get a high wattage (ceramic maybe) clamp light from Home Depot. They have ones rated to 250w for pretty cheap in the "work lights" section (instead of the lamps section). You can remove the reflector usually and just use the socket. The power cable is also usually nice and thick, able to handle quite a bit of lighting if need be.

That's what I would recommend for the long haul, even if it seems like your current setup is working okay for the short run.

EDIT: I realized you were referring to the color temp (6500k) not the wattage (65w) when you said you had one 65. That changes my analysis, which I updated.

Opps ya man, their all 23w. so about 92w? Their plugged into an older lamp I pulled off the base, its a bit older and also 2 prong. Then that is plugged into the timer which is plugged into one of 2 x 2.5m Long extension cables (Walmart) then into just the basic house socket. So ya your right, NO MORE LIGHTS. Lucky I didnt stick to the 6

I'll be checking up on it Thursday/Friday, so Ill see if theres any problems. I sure hope not I dont need any more $ on my CC.

Buying those lights put me in the hole almost another 50 bucks, plus 15 for the pot (Walmart Robbed Me) and Im debating on buying blooming nutes of not....

Here we are; 32 Days Old, Flowering's coming in to full effect and she smells great (No strong weed smell) Took quite a bit of pictures today but oh well.

Some are focused on the budding sites ( looks like about 10, on little inner branches, side branches and main cola) and some are just on the plant in general ( About 7inches tall )

Got a bagseed from some OD germin, root sprouted going to be moving it into the cab I was using before then put it outside.

I finally get what people mean when they say they stop postin in their journals, it seems like nobody gives a shit lol they just wanna see the final product. So true, but I will not stop updating!

Probably start an OD journal in a month or so when we get all of em going (60+ Bagseeds from a QP, me n a buddy will be trying to plant as many as we can, M and F's)

Don't give up on the journal, man! I actually prefer all the stuff between germination and harvest much more than the final product, to be honest. I'm sure you have plenty of lurkers out there.

Couldnt agree more, its far more interesting and requires you to learn and develop your knowledge. Love doing that oddly enough lol.

Here we are. Day......40. I believe. Bud is growing, doesn't look like to much, if the end yield is only like 12g oh well I guess. First plant.

Not really much to say. Got my OD bagseed planted. Going on like day 4-5. Put it in a good sized pot for awhile (until this harvest probobaly) then moving it outside (somewhere.) Ill throw up a pic sometime, but for now here's just my snowryder.

Here's my little guy. Gave it the name : Hopeless. Not because I don't believe it won't grow, but more because it was germinating for almost 8 days (Couldn't get time to plant it)

The seed had almost started to sprout in the paper towel and the rootmass was in the beginning stage.

Next too it is just a leave my buddy cut off he wants to try and clone it. Idk if it'll work but if it does, fucking eh.

You can clone from a leaf, but powder or gel helps alot. The little guy is looking great.

Ah thats to bad, well hopefully he doesnt waste to much time on it.

These last few weeks are going to be pretty hectic for me. This whole harvesting process I'm not really sure of. Need to do a lot of reading/learning.

I know the trichomes or whatever on the bud have to be a frosty/amber colour not clear, but I still gotta go get a loupe or a 50x magnifying glass.

Then the whole flush process and trimming and shit. Going to be a busy couple weeks.

Should I jsut trim those fan leaves off and hope for the best. I dont wanna fuck up my end product

Nah I decided to leave the leaves, they are the power for the plant (pictures)

Seems like the plant is sucking all the goodness and energy of those leaves away. Stems and inner leaf is still a nice-ish green while the rest tapers off into the yellow, seems like its feeding on itself.

Its interesting though because all around the budsites the leaves are all a greenish colour, not perfectly healthy obviously but still some good colours.

Il probably go check again monday then move it to my buddies house for its final 2 weeks.
