Having Troubles With Rooting Cuttings...STILL!!!!

OK! when i take my cuttings i do everything by the book. ive tried soil, jiffy pucks, them spongy brown plug things. ive tried many different ways. every way i have gotten 1 cut to root, but no others. so i move on to the next method. so far the best i have had is with them plugs. i cut on 45 degree angle, i use a dome, i use Clonex. i have no idea what i am doing wrong. i know they are supposed to dry out slightly, but last time i got one to root the roots dried up, and then i had to start over. as soon as i see roots i put into red Solo cups filled with Sunshine Mix Advanced #4. i had 1 cut live for 4 weeks before rooting. i suppose it was getting to wet. when am i supposed to remove the dome? what is the best procedure for taking cuttings and making them root? i had the cut that rooted grow hella fast and i seen the light! wasn't big on clones before, but i am now and i suck at it! PLEASE HELP!!!!! if all cuts grow that fast i want to only grow clones from now on!!!!

What are you're temps? If they're too high your plants' transpiration rate will inhibit root growth. Aeroponics is the easiest/most effective method IMO, but I've seen people get great results using rockwool. Soak the cubes in 1/4 strength bloom nutes for 24 hours...don't open the dome for 5-7 days...water them when they're dry...should have roots in a week or two.

I use a cloner I mad myself for less than $30 spent mostly at lowe's and one submersible pump (cost included in $30) anyway super simple and easy to do and I get awesome results...like as long as I don't mess things up then I get a 100% success rate...but I have accidentally unplugged the thing and killed all clones in attendance...I don't use a dome, but I do clip off any bottom most leaves I leave only 2 medium and 2 small fan leaves, I trim the medium sized leaves to be small and then just stick them in there...I have also had good results cloning straight to soil,I take the clone and dip it in get cloner, and then I sprinkle some powdered cloner into a hole I have made in the cetner of a solo cup full of FFOF or roots and then stick the whole thing in a ziploc bag and set it on the bottom of the tent but jeez it takes forever! Like 2 weeks, ...crazy, when in the cloner I get roots in around 4-8 days...
As soon as they get hanging roots, not many though, I put them in solo cups of FFOF, or Roots Organic, whatever I am using at the time...anyway that is that...I don't water the clones at all or give them a dome once they are in solo cups, if they are started in solo cups I will open the bag everyday and if the plant wilts over then I close the bag back up...everyday I try this...and one day it won't wilt...so I take off the bag and Voila! Plant...I don't water it again til the cup gets light...then when it gets to where I have to water the cup everyday I pot up

that is kinda how i have done it in the past. i have had cuts root in soil. well, Sunshine Mix, have't tried Roots, some peeps say it burns seeds. so i can only imagine it would burn a cutting. i have some rockwool cubes i have never tried. i am growing in soil though. i hear them rockwool cubes are safe for soil though. i just see those things and the first thing that comes to mind is insulation. i cant get over it. but its worth a shot at this point.

Not the jiffy pellets, the have a very mild mix in there. Remember its all about how much you wet the cube/jiffy each time and it shouldnt take more than 24hrs between waterings ,if it is your wetting too much and this applies from the start dont have the medium saturated when you plug the clones.

yeah i can not for the life of me get the too root. when is it safe to remove the dome? when they say "let the dry out a little", what exactly does that mean? i have done about 60 cuttings and only 3 have rooted and grown to plants. it is quite fucking annoying. i have to bust out 40 cuttings on this next round. i absolutely do not want to grow any seeds on this next run. i have to get the hang of this. i have heard some people say they do turn green, some ppl disagree. some people use domes, some don't. i use the dome, but when is it safe to remove it? i also use the heating pad, but when is it safe to remove it? i spray water on the leafs for moisture. i know the roots need a slightly dry medium to grow, but i can not find the happy medium. i have tried everything!!!!! its getting annoying at this point.

Ive had probs with this as well. I remeber when i started cloning for the first couple time i had 100 in rockwhool. I found my problem tho.
Get sum root hormons. Poor a tad bit in when u soak ur cubes and should help. Atleast it helped me

I've had bad luck with the heat mat they seem to get too hot .... I keep them in a closet at 80 - 85 degrees, under a dome, with a rooting gel & rockwool. 90% success rate.

i took the mat off about 3 days ago. and they are on day 6, maybe 7. im debating removing the dome. my patients is null due to the fact that i have no idea if what i am doing is workign or wasting time.

Build a bubble cloner...............rubbermaid tub, aquarium pump and heater and two airstones. Mine cost less than twenty bucks. No dome, no misting, no bullshit.
I cant even remember the last time I lost a clone..................

no thanks. if i wanted a bubble clone ri would have had one already. if i can't successfully do it without it, i doubt it would be easier with. but i may have to at least give it a shit soon if nothing else will work. i just heard you want to keep bubble clones with hydro growing. i grow in soil.

I had problems when I first started taking cuttings. I tried all the above mentioned ways of taking clones including building a cloner.
I am of the belief that clones, directly into a decent soil, with clonex rooting hormone, is the easiest way I can do it. The secret I have discovered is in taking clones from an area lower down on the plant as well as keeping the soil just barely damp. I think I killed 80% of my unsuccesful clones by simply having them in soggy soil ( or other mediums). When I do water them ( rarely if at all) I use a sqirt bottle rather than a watering can, as I want to just keep a slightly damp condition to the soil.
That said, some strains just do not want to clone. Others almost clone themselves. I have six strains going now and of the six, one strain ( Master Kush ) is giving me hell on cloning. I have only about a 30% success rate on it. On the other hand my ICE clones without a hitch with 100% success. Same procedures on each. Go figure.

Don't let them dry out and equally important don't let them get too soggy. Temp above 20 degrees and over 90% RH and u should be fine. Try to have a couple of cut off nodes going into the jiffy/cube. 10 cms max is easier to work with. I have 100% success rate with jiffys.

i have switched to Rapid Rooters as this has been successful for me in the past. i am debating building a aerocloner this weekend. except im poor and need to sell some collectibles. ill eventually figure it out. i think i have been keeping them too moist. ill get the hang of it. its just taking me a lot longer then it should. i really hope its not my enviroment

Rockwool without a dome works superb. Water once a day. In 20yrs i have tried all methods and this is the easiest to me
