I am in the Midwest, professor, and Herbies takes like one week to the day to get the beans to me. That's twice, now, too. Seven days.

Chummer is right...wait till the days are longer for Ideal growing conditions. I really put mine out this early out of 1.) Necessity, and 2.) Impatience...lol

Well as I said, updates will be spotty, at best, but I do have easier access to the Super Cali haze. If the others are doing as good as this, I am a VERY, VERY happy camper!! I'll just let the pics do the rest of the talkin'...(from 5-8-12; 7 weeks, 4 Days old)...

what does subbed mean ? is that when i journal the post ? jus wnoderin how to keep a records of some threads. nice pics man, hope al goes well. so u in UK ? i had a few lowryders outside l;ast year and all but one got fungus gnat. i realised u can stop it by filling the top few cm of the pot with fine sand. hope u dont get any tho !

Hey, what soil are you using? If it's miracle grow soil AND you are using miracle grow nutes, you are probably really overloading them, which actually might be the cause of the yellow leaves. I would just give them water for a little while and maybe try some less harsh nutrients, or try like feeding them an 8th dose of MG because that ish is STRONG. Like nute-lock your plants strong, if I remember reading right. Its like really high numbers in N-P-K instead of the usual 5-3-3 or around the 10s it is in the 20s and 40s and what not.

Well...as stated in first post...I am using 2/3 good old earth, to 1/3 Aurora Innovations "Roots Organic" growing mix. I mixed the Roots organic "down" 'cause I could not get feedback before the grow to let me know if using it alone would cause nute burn, since I have read here that it is easy to "burn" Auto's. Besides, I also use a VERY weak MG Bloom Booster mix (1tsp. to 2 Liters of water), and split 1/2 of that between the 4 plants. Then the other half of that mix about a week later, AFTER they were outside for 2 days, and they got a GOOD rain their first Night outdoors, as well and have have plenty of rain since, as well. No, I don't believe there is a problem at this time with the nutes. I will probably only feed the three short Life-cycle plants one more time, using a WEAK solution, again, then let nature flush them with rain water 'till Harvest. My access is limited, as stated.

ive ben waiting a week so far from attitude to north east my plans are to start indoors 16/8 under flouro tubes to get some dense folliage then outside in four gallon pots is early june tha ideal tine to put outside

i agree i try to keep my plants as low as possible while still getting good sun so u cant see them till u are close someone could spot that from a good distance maybe try to camo the bag ive seen people glue sticks n leaves to buckets in trees they looked like birds nests but he did say the foliage on the tree is dead so when it grown its gonna b pretty obvious whats growin up there without other growth to disguise it

Right. I hear you on the "Too much in plain sight" guys. I'm not too sure if there is a dry enough place out there in the swamp to put them on the "ground" I would be afraid of too much water soaking into the smart pot, causing root rot, or the swamp water just outright killing the plants if it happened to soak through - the stuff smells like sulpher, for pitty's sake! I believe I am pretty safe from others just happening to run across them and seeing them. The swamp is VERY secluded, not very much human traffic. But, when I can make it out there, next, I'll throw up some "cammo" like professor suggested, and try to make em look like bird nest's, that would not be too bad an idea. They should not be out there too much longer before it will be time to harvest, and that will be WAY before it is time for the hunters to start their rounds out there, getting ready for Deer season. So, I will cammo, but am afraid to put them on the "Ground" in the swamp. Thanks for the concern. I might even try bringing something out to put on the ground and keep the swamp water OUT, that might be the better idea, since it WILL be the only GREEN in the tree...I'll get somethin' done......now ya'll just makin' me PARANOID!!......LOL. But then I'll have the critters to worry about, on the ground...ah, well...it's NEVER easy, huh?

A report on the Auto Assassin, La Diva, And (Yes it's a FEMALE!) White Russian.

That is the only good news to report, though...the White Russian is showing her pistols, now (well, the critters stayed away, there was no sign of any PERSONS spotting them, and they didn't fall outta the scrub trees, either...there are THOSE things, too, on the plus side).

I really should have done things different, and MAY still move them, if I can. Yesterday (5-11-12) I was only able to get out and check, and get the heck back outta the swamp (time and stealth matters eliminated any other possibility). Sadly, I thought the 2 gallon smart pots would hold the moisture better, but, alas, the grow medium was a solid, dry lump for each plant. Supposed to get a "shower" tonight, and I hope it POURS, 'cause I won't be able to get to them and water them until Tuesday morning.

They are still green, esp. the White Russian, but they are ALL looking very droopy and showing no more growth (or VERY LITTLE) than the day I put them out. The only real growth is in the flowers themselves... I can see pistols at all the node/bud sites, but, as stated, they are droopy as all get out. They have also lost MUCH of their aroma. Sad, too...was looking forward to the Lemon - scented Auto Assissin (she REALLY was a true PLEASURE to inhale the day I took them out).

So much for my "maitaince - free" idea. Don't know who I was kiddin', other than myself. Gonna get some good water stashed about out there on Tuesday morning and give them all a good drink. Then wait an hour and DO IT AGAIN...lol. Maybe try and set up a gallon (or two) drip system for each one. the next two weeks shows a lot of rain days in the forecast, and that is encouraging, so we will see. Can't help but hope that all the stress I have caused these poor little ladies since "germ" has greatly "slowed" their life cycle down, so they can have some actual recovery time, and time enough to really get some yeild out of them in the end.

The 8 Weeks in the previous post was a mis-calculation...Today is 8 WEEKS . (56 days)

Hi, all no pics yet today, just a quick report on the setback...was able to get to the La Diva, White Moscow, and Auto Assassin ladies both on Monday and Wednesday, and really get them hydrated again. They were looking well again, no spottiness, nice and greened up and standing at attention on Wednesday. Monday, I was able to really soak them...carried 2 2-liter water bottles in jacket pockets, and 2 gallon jugs in some bags on the bike trip over to them. Used ALL that water, except 2 liters. Took over another 4 liters, yesterday, and they were smelling lovely again, but I was hoping for a little more stretch out of them as there are AMPLE budding sites all over all three of the ladies, but really not much new growth...approaching the 70 day mark rapidly (on 5-31-12), and not sure if I should really try to feed them the MG bloom booster just ONE more time since it MAY not FLUSH out completely?

I will TRY to get pictures up, and see if you guys think it wise to feed, or if I should count my blessings and take what I get outta the ladies? I am kinda leaning toward THINKING they are not even gonna be CLOSE to ready to harvest in the 70-75 day range, judging by the way they LOOK to me, and just feeding them. I'll wait till Monday, and, as stated TRY to get pics up B4 getting too impatient...who knows, now that they are doing better, maybe they WILL start to stretch out and fatten up some more, after the shock...?

PLEASE! ANY experienced comments, suggestions at this juncture without pics to go by??? Anyone?

Going to visit the Super Cali Haze today, and give her a feeding, for sure...will report back on her soon...

So, I go over and my buddies wife is about to leave and pick him up, so no time. At first glance, she looks awesome...about 18-23 inches tall, nice and green, nice looking top, no spottiness in the leaves. However, one of the lower, early, leaves is sorta "glued" with a brownish looking stuff right up to the stalk. I pulled it away to reveal the culprit. I don't know what it is but it LOOKS like maybe an overgrown inch-worm with a brown head. As gently as I can, I try to pull it out, but I snapped the stalk (at about the half-way point, 6 inches away from the pretty canopy). It scrambled out of the plant almost as soon as I touched it, and it had had eaten away an inch plus long "window" out of the side of the stalk, as it is, then I snap the thing! AARRGHH! Now I gotta go Tomorrow and splint her up good, and go over every inch of her. Gonna see if my buddy can find a better spot, far away from the site where this took place. Last ditch effort will call for a pesticide.

ANY ORGANIC suggestions?

Went for some "outside", PMed advice on this (thanks, Chummer!)....Gonna splint the Super Cali Haze Today (HOPE it's not too late for that...NO time yesterday...sucked!)...if that all goes well, will spray her down with hot pepper and garlic spray as a deterrent, after going over her with a fine-tooth comb!

No pics for the foreseeable future, so I have made a decision to go ahead with a WEAK MG bloom booster feed over the next week for the other ladies, at this time... a bit today or tomorrow, then another bit next week 5-6 days later. Then straight flushing with 2-3 times weekly waterings till the end...the flowering sites, as stated, are PROFUSE, but still LACK any look of maturity, and I don't believe I will be harvesting for at least another Month...I DO have some experience of my own, as I finished a nice bagseeed NL strain I kept intentionally smallish, so, I am fairly confident in my assessment of the state of the buds...they are poppin' pistols nicely, but the calyxes are not even beginning to fatten up, and each of the sites is very small...

WELL...Stayed tuned, folks...it's a nail-biter , for me, for sure!

No doubt about that, Chummer...and thanx again...that was one SMELLY concoction you steered me toward, and I think it would clear anyones sinus problem and keep a pack of SKUNKS away! LOL. Used some HABANERO "Bat's Brew" HOOOTTT!!! sauce, and used the olive oil that the minced garlic in the fridge was in...over half of the bottle of the hot sauce, and about 2 1/2 tablespoons of the garlic oil. Should well do the trick, I'm thinking. Was able to splint the poor gal...the TOP top was not even droopy, yet, so that is a good sign...there should be enough of the stalk left to get the water up to the plant. Recovery WILL be slow, I'm sure, but it is better than what my buddy had in mind...He was gonna have another friend over and "CLONE" it!!! AHHH!! He is NOT familiar enough with autos to know that is a HUGE mistake, and LAST-DITCH effort, ONLY...so I splinted it and wrote a letter explaining how...well, that patience is a virtue....and to give it at least three days, and if the drooping spreads further with no signs of recovery before the end of the 3 days...then chop and try to root her. I really SOAKED her down, too with good aerated (Shaken vigorously, not stirred) ground water. Hope all turns out well.

Went to the swamp with the other three ladies. Took 2 liters of water mixed with one Teaspoon of MG bloom booster. Put the La Dive into the moist / WET ground about an inch, and only fed her a LITTLE. Trying to see if the swamp will indeed kill them off if used as the water supply, and Indica's are not my favorite, but Sativa's, so she was the guinea pig.. The White Russian and Auto Assassin i left in the trees and split MOST of the two liters of weak food between them. and another almost 2/3 liter left over water...gotta go

Got a few pics of the Post-Repair work, three days after the fact... Super Cali Haze is really looking GOOD, all things considered! Even with that NASTY hole the worm left, she is starting to really fatten up the budding sites. Looks like it will be a really nice foxtail, when all is said and done. The cola site now has a good 8 inches or so of almost solid budding sites, and a few calyxes are really getting fat already. Got a very nice, soaking rain last night, and, today, used a REALLY weak (1/4 to 1/2 tsp. to 40 oz. of water...[barely turned the waters color]) MG blossom booster mix I used about 7-9 oz. of for this week. Will finish giving it that mix next week sometime. Kinda burned a leaf or two with the Hot Sauce...maybe I shoulda mixed it down a little more, since it WAS a Habanero hot sauce... I am sure that is what the brown spots are, as they were not there the day I sprayed them with that stinkiness...I'll make sure to keep it more diluted, next time I treat for prevention of re-infestation.

I will be visiting the swamp and the other three ladies tomorrow, since they got the nice midnight soaking last night, there is no hurry. Very curious about the LaDiva. I BARELY fed her, and gave her NO extra water when I put her on top of the mud to soak up the swampy water. Can't wait to get some FRESH pics up of all of them for you all. It has been quite a ride, hope to be harvesting within a Month! Not sure how much all the stress may have slowed things down, though...

OK, so I was DEAD wrong! I went out to water the Auto Assassin and White Moscow I had left in the trees, and to see how bad off the La Diva I allowed to sit on the black mud and soak up the swamp water was. What a BUSH the La Diva is! The differences will be very obvious in the pics, so, all else I will say is that they are ALL sitting in the black mud, now! ...Just hope the critters stay away...
