Cheap Trimming Machines and your reviews, thougts, insights and input

Nice thread, id be interested in reading others comments on trim machines also. what gives the best trim without leaving to much junk on the bud?

ive been looking at and debating purchasing one of the hand crank trim-pros but i have heard they bang up the buds kinda bad

any personal experience?

I have a electric Trim Pro. I love it. Advise take all fan and BS leaves off before you put in Machine. Makes it look great and very uniform

Im definitely gonna get a spin pro or handcrank one simply for my outdoor popcorn this year. Last year wayyy too much energy&time was put into trimming tiny nugs. I wouldn't use any other type of trimmer other than a human one for my good nugs.

Just make sure your popcorn isn't too fluffy or the spin pro will just eat it right up. They nugs don't have to be real dense, just not fluffy. I choose to hand trim when I can because I feel I can just get a better trim job by hand, but when there is too much the spin pro comes in real handy.

forsure thanks for the heads up, I will definitely be careful when im learning how to use it.

If you have a giant outdoor grow and no help I guess maybe but from what I have seen I wouldnt use it but I grow indoors and my crystal count is much higher then outdoors and these just remove way to much of the trichs for me.

I thought that to. Then I used a friends and looked at it before and after and it did not make much of a difference.

Hemlock...I saw just the opposite. I saw tons of trichs in the bowl and on the blades and on the rubber tossers which is why I wouldn't use them. I just take a few days and hand trim and do it right but like I said if its just you and you have 10 or more lbs to do with outside buds then I can see where speed over quality work is preferred.

Its not so much that speed over quality, cuz last year my whole harvest was hand-trimmed, which is quality, but with big outdoor ppl usually want to knock out the fat colas and nugs which takes long enough, and the popcorn takes more precision and time to trim. If it was pristine indoor bud, of course I wouldnt use anything that might possibly damage trichs. I remember b4 FDD got locked up he showed that he bought one of the handcrank ones and it was a lifesaver for him with his tiny nugs(outdoor). It was getting the leaf down to a point where he could start drying them and not worry about them until later, you can always go back later to make it more pretty, and about the no help thing, I mean how much "help"? Im not about to just let 10 ppl in my spot to harvest with me, even with 3 ppl helping its a big task.

I dont know the specifics, but it was a big topic not too long ago on RIU, he got popped by the feds. its true, and very sad.

Hmmmm..odd thought he was medi licensed out in cali...most of been something to it as he grew for dispenseries..How long ago was this?roughly
