you accidentally a word.
they are guesses. very highly educated guesses rooted in the scientific method and empirical evidence. they can even assign certain degrees of certainty based on science, and the certainty is pretty damn high.

I don't vote to select the winner. I vote on principle.
The delegate count is not scientific or empirical. Its just people trying to "give birth" to a story. You could be correct on the outcome but I'll give you guess and not highly educated guess. remember the popular vote doesn't mean too much. It's always about delegates.
Dillinger is correct on the delegate count. ~300 to 100 in Romneys favor.

that website is a POS that slowed my computer to a freeze and is not totally up to date. it still leaves winner take all states as up in the air until the state convention. biased ronbit bullshit.
the projections are scientific and based on empirical evidence, statistics, and the like. they are generally reliable, and my scenario of 700 delegates is more than generous to the ronbots. even if romney only has 700 right now, not the ~950 or so he's projected to have, he is still virtually guaranteed to surpass 1144 with CA+NJ+UT, all winner take all states.
so yes, the straw polls do matter a whole lot. especially in winner take all states. and romney still dominates paul head to head, we saw that in virginia. so the rest of the proportional delegates will put romney well over 1144. paul will finsish with about 180 delegates as i projected months and months ago.
It took me 2 seconds to get to that website after I clicked on it. Get rid of your 2001 Dell.

Ok I really just went over the numbers finally last night at work was up all night..no exact figures for you because I left it at work but this is what I discovered...some interesting facts...take out the "predictions" based solely on straw votes and this is what you will come up with, which is essentially in line with what I figured last time:
1) If there wasn't any states left at this time it would be guaranteed to be a brokered convention..its highly likely even when they are considered.
2) Mitt Romney only has roughly 300 delegates, yes 300, and Ron Paul has around 150...still very close...
3) Around 1400 delegates can still go either way...yes fucking 1400....
4) So far we know that over 50% of Mitt Romneys delegates(at the least) are bound and plan to vote for paul LMFAO ...The gist of it is every Mitt Romney Delegate thus far is an ELITE ESTABLISHMENT CORRUPTICIAN HAH! WHY AM I NOT SUPRISED?!
So its not near as far off as the media says..big fucking lol....wow they just don't expect people to try and figure this shit out themselves..Can't blame them for that took me like 5 hours...head to the wikipedia page and count it yourself its all right there..

Actually OSX is pretty good software and doesn't crash or BSOD ever really, the problem with Apple is the first thing you said...charging you out the ass for hardware. (usually older hardware too)
