I don't really object to taxes. My objection is to the way politicians simply squander the treasury in their collusion with their crony capitalist friends, and in pandering for reelection. If our leaders treated the national treasury the way I treat my personal treasury then we would not be in a fiscal hole too deep to climb out of.because like old mcronald and his merry cult like to say, taxation is theft. those veterans who fought to give you the freedom you disparage and take for granted are stealing from you! theft! thieves!
whereas i see it the other way. people screaming that taxation is theft are the ungrateful mooches.
UB, you have stated that "the things we all use" (paraphrase) should be paid for by the state, i.e. food, housing, medicine, school, etc. What is the incentive to work if all of your income is going to be taken by the state and divided up amongst the leaders with a few crumbs tossed into the yawping mouths of the fools who keep voting them into power?
