I'm using two 400w dual spectrum hps lights, and starting my babies off in rootriot cubes in a humidity tray. any you guys know what sort of pots i should use to start off and move up with?? i was thinking of using 3 litre pots to veg with what u guys think

the bigger the pot the better........ the bigger the pots the more roots the more plant........ more plant....... more bud.......... more bud more happy! :)
you can start in small pots and as you see fit keep on repotting into bigger an bigger..........
my usual pots are 18L and now I have my favorite plant in a 24L
;)

Hmmmm so what if i am only vegging for around a month, what is the best pot size to use before i do a final pot into a big 18litre?

i always start them off in a decent size pot so the roots can grow real nice and juicey and then when the plant looks like its taken upp much of the space in the cup or whatever you start them off,i transfer them

my last grow i had started way too many plants thinking i would get about 50% males and i ended up getting more like 75% females, so i kept them in small 1 gallon, 4 litre, pots the whole time..
my yields really suffered as a result, and even the bud size was smaller then normal as well..

this time around i'm going to go with 2 plants in 5 gallon containers and i have a feeling i'll out yield what i did with 6 plants in one gallons

I use all kinds of sizes of pots...different strains are different...I have one strain that will grow a huge plant in a tiny pot, and then I have another strain that always has more roots than plant...lol. but I most always finish in 5 or 7 gallon pots...sometimes 3 but mostly 5 and 7....Sometimes I start in solo cups and then move to one gallon, and then 3, and then 5...or sometimes I might go solo cup to 5 gallon...or straight into 1 gallon...whatever really...However I am feeling, how much soil I have left, and what size pot is available at the time.

or sometimes I might go solo cup to 5 gallon

Does going from solo cup, to five gallon not affect your yield and bud density? I heard you have to develop a nice solid root mass, in order to get the best results.............putting a solo cup into a 5 gal container sounds like dropping a fish into an ocean!

So a starting off in a pot which can hold a few liters is ideal?
