I too would like to argue otherwise and provide personal experiences as evidence.

I've smoked in public next to a police officer after asking permission and showing my recommendation - multiple times.

I've called the police to my house after a home invasion where the only items stolen where my plants and cured bud. They were very polite and took pictures, fingerprints, very detailed descriptions of the size of the plants and color of the containers, discreetly asked the neighbors about suspicious activity, and even provided written documentation of monetary equivalent losses for insurance (for both dried product and plants).

I've been pulled over twice for minor traffic violations and both times when asked admitted to possession - neither times did they hassle me, ask to see it, or even ask to see my recommendation.

My very good friend was pulled over and after admitting to possessing and having a recommendation the police officer actually gave him some confiscated bud. This one blew me away.

Most cops don't care. You have the few that try to go "above and beyond" their duty and like to harass people...but for the most part these guys are just doing there jobs. Respect them and you generally get the same in return. The feds on the other hand....don't give a shit and would loving nothing else but to destroy you.

I get what your saying but the cops know what their getting themselves into before they sign up. There are some cops that use their "authority" to a whole new level. Take Rodney King and Daniel Chong for example. No one forced them to sign up for this job, if they cannot think and function logically while under pressure then they do not need to be cops. Dont get me wrong there are plenty of good cops out there but at the same time there are many that cannot leave their egos at home and do the job they signed up for. Im just saying...

The law doesn't like being bent around it's pretty much straight forward, but theres allot of young ones that
think or do what they want and when they get caught they sit there crying the whole world is against them boo hoo!

Hi there US Stoners im in UK and thought that the 215 thing was a joke, but thought that is why prop Z was started or am i wrong. Here in the UK The Police are robbing bastards, once when i got bust a load of Cheese went missing and some cash they left the other weed as it werent that good, it was good for me but i must admit i was extremely pissed off as because if you cant trust the police who can you trust, and you want tobe able to say to your kids that you can trust the police son, well i cant as i find them tobe theeiving fuckers. I disagree.... Use some common sense and also some responsibility... I have been pulled over twice (for speeding) with mmj in the car, even with a mmj pipe loaded (and half smoked). Both times I showed the officer my card and all other legal documents and I was let on my way. (still got a speeding ticket, other time the officer gave me a warning after we had a talk about my mmj card, he must have been a patient himself.)

Police officers cant smoke weed. Random drug tests are given. Im sure some of em do every once in a while, but they couldnt be a 215 patient.

some cops are dicks, but if you're not showing an attitude or anything and are willing to comply (yet understand YOUR rights, not MISunderstand them) then you'll be fine. I've been harassed by some, but never arrested or had anything taken. I have a copy of my rec in my car, in my grow area and my original on me, myself at all times. Keep it in your trunk, 99% of the time you won't have any problems. I was pulled over on my way home from my FIRST dispensary trip after getting my rec, the cop first took my meds, then verified my rec #, and gave me my meds back. I showed him no lip and just did what I was asked.

Millions of people abuse their rec without really knowing the laws. You can't smoke and drive, that is a DUI, your buddies cant smoke in the car and not you either. Oh yeah, if the place you went to sold you a smaller copy of your rec laminated... that isn't a legal verification, so if you only carry that on you, you will be issued a tick and have to go to court to get it dismissed, only the 8.5x11 rec they give you is legal.

The law isn't bullshit when you understand it. Do some research and enjoy your freedom =)

Im sure you guys all know this, your not dumb. sb420 and prop 215 are a joke. They do nothing as far as us smokers are concerned. You cannot carry nug on you at all. Only time you are allowed to have pot on you is when your coming home from the clinic. My buddy got a D.U.I. because he had pot, not in a stapled clinic bag. Just be careful out there, well never be safe.

It's still a controled substance and is treated that way. When you turn 21 you have a "lisance" to buy alchole you still cant drive around with a open container even if your not drinking it(it must stay closed till you get to your intede destination). Use common sence, medicate, and be happy.....

I got pulled over, had hella different bags from clubs sittin everywhere, roaches in the door and center counsel, and a big bag of shake stuffed somewhere Id forgot about. the officer said "just because you have your card doesnt mean you need to be riding around with this much weed, if I was an asshole Id give you a ticket, try to keep it under raps".
