Thanks Hotsauce. I will. But I have to confess. One of the lights in the bud room stayed on all day yesterday, so I may get some stretching on the buds. I'm so freakin pissed at myself for not checking everything everyday. The lights were on for an extra 9 hours. I turned them off at 5pm and the will go back on at 8pm tonight. That's over 24 hours so they should get back on schedule...I just hope this doesn't cause the plants to herm..
The plants since my last pics have blown up big time. Week 5 and 6 are the serious chunk gaining weeks so I have my fingers crossed that this mistake doesn't ruin everything.

I'll chalk it up to that, Hotsauce. 
I'm actually pretty excited because my seeds are almost tiger striped on the Sour OG and Larry OG, one BX'd and one crossed to the Pike's Peak Diesel (Blue Dream x Sour OG) x Deadhead OG) The LCK is showing lots of small variations in plants, but not enough to make a decision on whether or not to selectively inbreed this. The larry OG will be BX'd into the PPD maybe two more times, depending on the stretch of the offspring in bud.....too much stretch and I will BX this to the Blue Dream again. The Larry produces 1/3 to 1/2 the weight of the other strains I'm growing except the Sour OG.......also by Cali connection.

Sounds good MG. I just harvested my first pollen about a week ago. I cant wait to get more experience in the breeding world. Testing seems to be one hell of a fun part guess ill see soon enough. Ive done plenty of test grows but not of my own shit. Anyway keep us posted that Pike Peak sounds goodI'll chalk it up to that, Hotsauce.

What kind of pollen did you collect? Testing my own strains is stressful, wondering if they're any good way before I can tell. I would rather have a stressful grow than hand out hermied seeds and shit.
Whatever you decide, please use a regular female or a fem'd seed you know does not herm. There are quality fem'd seeds out there, but only a few breeders do that well. My DNA Sour Cream is a fem'd seed and one of most highly prized plants I have from seed, from the last 3.5 years. Who could of foreseen this? Blueberry being one of the two strains to make Blue Dream and still ever so popular in certain groups..
I remember in 91 when I lived in SoCal, the enormous Blueberry buds everywhere. I always preferred the local Santa Barbara outdoor buds like the Kiwi--dark evergreen color with red and pink tric's.....outrageously amazing. I love CO and NJ, but SoCal grows the best outdoor buds in the world, in my opinion. I don't know what they're working on down there but CO is quickly becoming the breeders state.
I have a feeling all us breeders will be the wave of the future here for some time, if we can keep creating the bombs we are now. It's all a matter of discipline and drive. Im pretty old so it better happen soon!!!!

The male i just harvested is Durban P x Herijuana from EC
I did a run with Sour Cream and i defenatly liked her. She gave me some nice dense buds. Ive yet to try an outdoor grow and dont know when i will. Ether way im looking forward to making some crosses i am very picky so im sure there will be alot of shit that doesnt meet my standard and will be crosses or trashed

Finally some new porn...Today and everyday for the last two weeks, the plants have had nothing but H2O to drink. This has been the easiest, hassle free, grow I've done to date. There haven't been any issues with the plants. I just started week five of bud, everything is starting to thicken up. I'm getting a ton of weight on the Armageddons and the Lemon Chem Kushes. All three LCKs smell exactly the same and the buds look exactly the same, so far. The colas grow long and there isn't much leaf to deal with either. That will change a little, as they get closer to the finish line, maybe. I'm thing at week 6 to week 8, I will hit the plants with some organic, high P and K fertilizer to really frost up those buds. Next grow should be better, by like 1 or 2%. The 600W lights are almost two years old, so I'm definitely pushing the limits with those. The 1000W is a year old and will be tossed after this as well.....so all brand new lights next time.. It will be interesting to see if the buds on the plants next time are so much more frosty, I can tell with my the naked eye. I doubt it highly...these are covered, but I may lose out in the flavor profile and that is just as important as the high, in my opinion.

Wanna hear something crazy and it totally sucks for me but I'm not mad and that's part of growing........triple checking EVERYTHING!!! T came over the other night and stopped to grab beans for someone. My lights come on at night so I brought him into the grow room. Well that boy is big and the grow is really small. When he slipped behind a plant to look at another one, he rubbed up against the black/white poly and underneath the poly is a switch to the light for the room. With all the other lights on, I never noticed it was accidentally switch on.
Here's where it gets fucked up. I check the room every morning now, after what happened a few days ago with my lights. Sunday morning, however, I had to get up and leave the house before the lights turned off, hence, not noticing there was another light on in there. Well...............the light, although only an incandescent 60W, stayed on until I came home and checked that night.
I'm not making an excuse or blaming anyone for my SHIT buds, if they turn out that way.....this is a journal and writing everything down in it always makes for a better grow next time. I was never here to pretend that I am a growing God, so my ego isn't devastated. It's a perfectionist thing that I tend to take out the miss steps on myself if my buds don't come out close to perfect. This is a way to remind myself to think a little deeper next time because I thought I had everything under control......the one thing I cannot control is the thing I am unaware of!! My experience of how to become aware is usually through screwing up! So yer, it's a bad thing now but a good thing next round...

It's hard to screw up when the lights are on during the day but my electric bill is stupid expensive and I had to try this night time grow to see if it would save us cash. It has and I will continue to bud at night, only with more precautions examined..
Go to the grow store today in Denver for organic nutrients, twister seals, 4ft stakes, & info tags. Order plastic 10ml syringes for PHing. Re-order vials for beans. Remove 60W light from grow room. Inspect room for light leeks.

That's two full moons in 7 days!! But seriously..you don't think that will fuck up the plants? I have a feeling the buds might be a little elongated by harvest. Not enough to change the quality of the bud. I am more concerned about it bringing out hermi "qualities", if you will, and growing bananas on the two monster Armageddons. I know this plant is prone to do that shit if it gets stressed out, the tiniest bit..
Too late to worry about it now.
I bought some stuff for budding which I have pics of .....a super cheap budding additive to your super soil mix!!!
Here's the mix:
4Lt RO water
5ml Age Old Kelp .30-.25-.15
5ml Age Old Humic 12
5ml Age Old Bloom 5-10-5
5mil Hawaiian sea salt solution (1cup RO water, 1 Tbsp sea salt)
PH'd if necessary. I will feed every 5 days, but only four times. After that I will do a major 40 - 50gal flush with Sledgehammer This leaves me around 2 to 3 weeks of continue flushing with water(2 Lt H2O, 2ml Sledgehammer). Last week is pure H2O. Plants are usually very colorful by now, reminding me of fall in NJ.... I need to make a batch of this now, let it sit 12 hours, and than check the PH.
Too late to worry about it now.

Accidentally did the same thing in my room... My bulb is up against my plastic tho, shit, I smelled burning plastic in my tv room and about shit a brick.. The light bulb burned straight through two layers of plastic. Heart attack. But it ended up a good thing.. I felt a bunch of heat escaping from the hole and decided to cut more in around the top... Dropped temps a good five degrees, and we all know how important every point is and helped keep temps more steady as well... But a close one for sure...
