Ok, so i'm stocked on TGA Subcool, Homegrown Fantaseeds, Mr. Nice and some freebies from various breeders but i still ended up buying these strains from Delta 9 Labs.
Has anyone tried them? haven't read many reports about D9L, I made one for their Brainstorm Haze last summer which i loved, so i thought I'd grow out more of their genetics.
all of these crosses look good on paper, so i got them.
here is what their site says about the strains:
Fruit Gf the Gods: Nl5 Haze x Skunk 1 "Why the fruit of the gods, well that was what came to mind the first time we smoked this wonderful strain. Even though it was a mostly sativa with strong haze elements coming from its mom, the legendary NL5 Haze, it had an incredibly fruity taste. From our first selection we went with the FOG 11 which is what we used to make all our next batches of seeds. This pheno was amazing, a fruity haze that under the right conditions goes a beautiful deep purple color. The strain comes from an old Nl5 haze pheno that was around amsterdam in the late nineties. It was crossed with a skunk #1 father that came from seeds that were made in 1988. We were lucky as it was really tough to get them to germinate. The strain is mostly a sativa but still has a touch of indica in it from the northern lights. The plant is tall and does finish in 84 days but is well worth the wait as you will be rewarded by an incredibly strong smoke with an intense fruity flavor. With this strain we tend towards a medium to heavy feeding with the main boosters going in between week 4 and week 6. This one really likes water in the last two weeks of its cycle and takes a week hung upside down to dry. It tends to stretch a bit but likes to have a lot of space as it can get to over 1.5 meter's tall. This is a great medical strain as it really helps patients suffering from headaches or migraines. It is very cerebral in the structure of its high."
Simpson Kush: SFV OG x Fruit of the gods(Nl5 haze x Skunk 1) "The Simpson Kush is a cross between the legendary and finest of the OG Kush lines, the SFV(San Fenando Valley) OG Kush cross with our Fruit of the Gods. The famous old school woody scent and high from the NL5 Haze in the F.O.G came almost 100% through into the Simpson Kush, expanding the high and yield from the OG Kush, however still allowing for the quick onset high the Kush's are known for. Height: 1-1.5 meters average height indoors Weight (yield): 400-500 grams per square meter Flowering time in days: 63 days Ratio: Sativa 90%/ Indica 10% After working with an SFV OG Kush cutting for over 2 years, it became time to increase the yield. We crossed this legendary OG Kush pheno with our Fruit of the Gods(F.O.G) The yield increased tremendously perhaps due to the NL5 Haze we previously used making the F.O.G. The scent has the old school NL5 Haze scent as well. Virtually the SFV OG Kush was paramount at speeding up the flowering time. Taste (burned and unburned): sandlewood/SE Asian strain overtones: "SourPine" Scent (burned/unburned): Musky scent with a hue of Sour OG Kush. What the dried bud/crumbled bud looks like: The velvety feel and tight bud structure is apparent in this strain as it has a special feel of its own. Speed of high onset: The superior clear high comes on immediately after 1 -2 inhalations. Duration of high: The high lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on ones tolerance. Quality/type of high: The high is very uplifting and motivating allowing for one to carry on with their day. Stimulating results came from MS patients we have tested this variety out with. Medicinal qualities: Mind stimulating and motivating. Perhaps facilitates with alleviating muscle spasms. As a bona-fide medical patient myself, I enjoy using this variety throughout the day. It keeps me motivated and seldom tired, allowing me to think clear headed even after sitting in a chair for several hours doing computer assignments."
Stargazer: (Warlock x Ak47) x Sensi Star
This is an interesting strain as it really has become a great amalgamation of three strains, the warlock, the ak-47, and the sensi star. The cross began with a robust male ak-47 being crossed into a fantastic warlock female that was selected from a pack of seeds. We were lucky as both the warlock and ak came from stock that was available around ten years ago. These were as original as it could get. Once we found the right pheno we crossed it into our super star male, this really added quite a punch.
The star gazer is our shortest of the all the strains and the most bushy. It can reach about 1 meter when its fully in flower. Again this depends on the size of the pot and the airflow of the room. This is a strain that is quite high in thc testing up in the 16-17% range. It does have a really strong high, hence the name, its is prefect for stargazing on a nice summer night. She prefers earth and cocos to the less natural rock-wool but does do very well in automatic feeding systems, turning into a massive bush. The short thick leaves are speckled with the oh so feminine pink hairs of the ak and warlock parents. The flavor of this smoke is rich and deep. Its first tastes are woody and natural, almost a piney flavor. It then shifts through the palette and finishes with a nice minty aftertaste. All in all a great flavor and a great smoke.
Mekong Haze: The Mekong Haze is a pure landrace Sativa strain from Southeast Asia. Although it may take up to 18 weeks of flowering time to complete, it is truly a pure breeding strain. This variety is very uplifting and clear headed. The Sativa high and flavor is very apparent and motivating. It makes you want to do things under her influence. Using this variety for your own research and breeding purposes will prove to be worth it's value. The Mekong Haze is ideal for making F1 hybrid crosses with other Delta-9 Labs varieties. Having great patience with this variety will certainly reward you when the nurturing is completed.
