Hey guys i was out walking through a bush last night and i ran into a few km's of swamp, some parts are really wet but in a little open area i barely sunk, it just seemed damp and almost perfect for growing. all the other plants around were bright green and looked healthy as hell, ive never grown in a swamp before and alot of people say its amazing, or its a place for animals to go and fuck you over and ext. I was wondering if anyone could help me and how would you grow here? Pots, bags, my soil, or just let the nature do the work, any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks alot guys

a couple problems i see is 1 like you said animals. animals are drawn to water spots like that. when your not there all the forest animals are and most of them love to eat our kind of plants. 2 the dampness is actually a problem. these plants love their soil to dry out a little in between waterings to breath. if its always damp they dont get a chance to breath and can easily die. also heavy rains could flood the swamp and flood your plants out and easily killing them as well.

Me n a buddy did 30 plants in buckets in a swamp. We had a bear that liked to knock the odd bucket over. Thing about swamp growing is you have to go every 5-7 days to handle the water/animal problems if they happen. We wound up with 12 lbs from 30

What size pots do you reccomend? and i know a few people like to cut the bottoms of the pots off and let them do it that way, should i just use pots with my own soil? What makes a swamp such a good place if you can do this anywhere

its great, safe spot, water source if needed, the animals can be a problem and i agree about checking up on the plants 5-7 days. What makes swamps good spots is the water source, nobody go's in swamps so its safe, and there tends to be openings in the sky.

Yeah thats what i think with my spot, im growing Critical +, OG Kush, and Cheese, its my first time growing but i have some help, so you would choose a swamp over a forrest? i had to hike back in rubber boots which seems like its pretty safe, is just normal dirt from Home Depot or something fine?

all depends what you want to achieve, id recommend trying to find some good bags of soil from a garden store or center or hydro store if you have them near you. but diffidently good soil is the last and only thing in my opinion you should not and cannot cheap out on. iv done full grows with just roots organics soil and 2 top feeds with guano and just plain water the whole time and had amazing finish product that sold for 2900 a unit for outdoor

id make mounds of natarl soil and cut the botoom out of bucket and set them on top of that. for 2 reasons. one so the roots can grow and the other case when the plant gets big and the wind blows the bucket over and layers you top cola in the mud your goon be mad as hell the roots will go in the dirt and hold up th planbt

Grew in a swamp combatted with poison oak and other natural vegetation that in the end won the battle. Insects are a huge issue too my advice is to steer clear cause you'll need to be in there every 3 days to combat local veg that seemingly pops up overnight

for my swamp grow i have them on a edge of a swamp near a forest treeline..I use 20 gallon pots to avoid any bears or winds from knocking over my babies! I use Home Depot Soil, a brand called Vigoro and i fertalize with a slow release Vigoro fert. So far so good..I have a grow journal and im going to be posting more pics if i can help u out.

my favorite thing is the perfect sun it gets, and also as u said, ppl tend to stay away from them, dnt like getting there feet wet

I've done swamp grows that were just a burlap sack filled with soil. Layed on it's side at the edge of the waterline.
Slit a hole in the bag & put your plant in. Roots grow down thru the burlap & find their own water.
Occasional soaking of the burlap sack (weekly) kept things growing nicely
Good luck
