How long would you stick with stunted, stress plant before giving up??

I'm not sure what that medium is, as I only use soil for my grows. But if you do want to save them I would have to agree on repotting into a good soil mix. No need to trim the roots or anything else, just repot and use only water, no nutes, and see what happens.

1.Get some CFLs. 600 watts for seedlings is a bit much.
2.Plant some seeds
3.Give the plants plain water and start feeding lightly. I grow in soil, so I can't help you much on the feeding.

I point for soil? Never thought about that, I like it! That would mean cutting off the roots and clone gel, then into the soil, right?
No, no, Don't cut of the roots. Just brush them and loosen them up and then stick them into the soil and allow the soil feed the plant for 2 weeks. Get something light like roots organics or light warrior from fox farm.

Spot on! Like he said. CFLs or T8, T5 would be a much better choice. I would try the soil first then if it doesn't show any new growth within a week from transplant then trash it.
