lol @ your old mcronald love. just LOL.

next time i head down to LA on the I-5, i'm going to enjoy another hearty gut laugh at the "congress created dust bowl" signs proudly yet moronically displayed by all the farmers on the west side of the san joaquin.

i never see a sign thanking the fed gov for the fact that their land exists thanks to big government projects like the california aqueduct, nor do i see any signs detailing that they knew they would be last in line for the water when they signed up. and i never see any signs that advertise the fact that the mega-corps who own the vast majority of these farms sell their water back to local municipalities rather than use it to water their land. they want to have their cake and eat it too, all while bitching about/exploiting illegal immigrants.

the hypocrisy of red california is astounding. simply jaw-dropping.
No hypocrisy here. I support medical cannabis, and eventually full legalization. I support investment in america, and growing our economy. I support environmentalism, and clean water, and rigorous testing of drugs before they are marketed. I oppose taxing somebody else to pay for what i want, i oppose shipping US money overseas, and taxing companies so heavily that they take their factories to china. I oppose giving our money to foreign powers for their favors, and letting illegal aliens cross our borders without even a second look I oppose wasteful spending when we got problems at home, i oppose preventing a man from using his land how how wishes because some poindexter thinks kangaroo rats are endangered. I could go on, but your too busy patting yourself on the back for pulling off the wondrous coup of making me Mitt Romney's fluffer, and also Ron Paul's catamite. I oppose Obama because he is a liar, a fool and a coward unwilling to as you say "spend his political capital" on what he claims to believe in. Declining to stand up and say what you really believe is the defining characteristic of a shitty politician.

or to be as succinct as yourself,

obama sucks. even romney would be better. you cant trust a word out of obama's mouth. romney hasnt lied to me. yet.

it ain't the tax rates. we have among the lowest effective business tax rate in the world. check out what they pay chinese workers and what conditions they work in.

we could compete with chinese labor if americans were willing to die on the line for their capitalist employers.

seriously dude, get a clue.

romney hasnt lied to me. yet.
then you haven't listened to a word he's said.

capitalism is not a dirty word. nobody dies on the line for their socialist masters either, unless they have a gun to their heads, which in socialist countries they often do.

between taxes, regulation costs, payroll taxes, insurance and unemployment staying in america is spendy as fuck, and most of this never even gets near the worker's paychecks. chinese workers get paid shit, thats true, but chinese workers dont buy shit. Henry Ford (noted industrialist and supporter of the "Third Way Socialism") realized this long ago, if your workers can afford to buy what they make, you have a ready made market for your goods. Chinese peasants will NEVER be buying ipods on 15 yuan a day, and if it made even halfassed fiscal sense apple would have kept production in the USA. Same goes for every company that left as part of clinton's expensive trade agreements, bush1's nafta and gatt, and dubya's gatt 2 and other shitty agreements. all these "fee trade" scams are just a way fro companies to maximize profits while minimizing expenses. The lack of any tariffs on imports ensures the trend continues. Free trade is just unemployment in america for the benefit of those poor benighted foreigners who djust need another handout from the US government which is so generous with my money. you may not have any skin in the game but my tax bill hurts. If i only save a couple cents of my pay by stopping the african ball washing extravaganza then ill keep that money, and be happy about it. Even if it means some dingdong in namibia has to have a sweaty uncomfortable sac.

Sorry took the wifey out for dinner and a couple of drinks..Back to the convo...Let me get this correct...You hate Obama because you feel he lied about his stance on weed, but you think Romney never has lied or changed his stance on nothing. I'm I right about this or did I miss something

my dear god, could you be more predictable?

CAPITALISM NOT BAD! SOCIALISM BAD!

since when did i say anything about whether socialism or capitalism was good or bad? :dunce:

all i said was that workers in china often DIE due to working conditions that are completely illegal here in the states. those are the "regulation costs" you mouth fart about. the social safety net (payroll taxes, insurance, unemployment) that you mouth fart about, go try china's version. seriously, it's great. the poor there live on dirt. taxes? again, our effective tax rate for businesses is among the lowest in the world.

what it boils down to is the ability to make a quick dollar on the back of cheap labor.

Not quite. Obama promised a lot of stuff. besides his declaration the he would not let the doj stomp on medical cannabis laws, he also declared an end to torture(lies) the closure of Guantanamo bay detention facilities (lie) an end to illegal wiretaps (lie) and end to our unfair treaties and such that disadvantage the american worker (lies) an end to the war in iraq on "day one" (lies) a beginning of extraction from afghanistan on day one (lies) "the most open and transparent administration in history (lies) No lobbyists on his staff (lies) an end to the same old shit political games (lies) a balanced budget plan (lies) ANY budget plan (lies) and a restoration of the constitution by reperaling the patriot act and patriot 2 (lies and damned lies)

and thats just the stuff i liked that he lied about. all the other bullshit he promised the left, such as spreading the wealth around (lies) ending fat cat bonuses (lies) Fairer and more equitable taxes (lies) etc etc etc.... the list goes on and on.

then theres "healthcare" which it turns out is just a giveaway to the insurance companies who have been long-donging the people of america for nearly a century. the insurance companies wrote the bill, congress passed it before reading it, and the insurance companies funded the pro AND con rallies to ensure it would pass and look like they resisted it. It's all been one long con job. the winners? insurance companies they get stuck with a few thousand bad risks from people with existing conditions, but all the young healthy people have to pay them for life! ohhhh yeah!

Romney however has made lotsa promises to lotsa people, but as he isnt president yet, he hast started breaking those promises yet. Im sure he will, being a dickhead and all. but thats america, you cant blame somebody for shit youre pretty damned sure they will do, but rather only for things they have already done. thats my thinking on the romney/obama race. its a risky bet on a shifty asshole, or a dead cert on a lying sack of crap who wouldnt tell the truth if you twisted his nuts in a vice.

Tariffs on imports. is this brief enough for you? cant sell tube socks for $10 at walmart anymore unless you make em in a civilized country. thast how we used to prevent that shit, and thats how we should do it now. shit. is any solution sufficiently liberal for you buck? or is NO the only thing you can squawk between your ad hominem attacks and dubious logic?

Dude your choice is Romney or Obama...from what you saying you will not be voting
my plan is to write in ron paul unless through some bizarre confluence of events california is a close race, and the deciding factor in the election. then i MIGHT vote for romney just to keep obama out of the whitehouse for another 4 years. Thats not gonna happen, as the elections are always decided before the west is even ready to vote, and california is heavily democrat, and heavily catholic, thus very unlikely to go to a close race. (catholics think mormons are nuts, and mormons think the catholic church is the antichrist)

Despite what bucky might say, i am not a romney booster, i'm alos not opposed to obama based on race. I had hope for him when he went to the whitehouse, but he has been a sore disappointment. he hasnt even kept his promises to his core constituency chicago, hard core leftists, and blacks.

You are one confused individual ...Can't see how anyone could say they could vote for Ron Paul and then say or Mitt Romney. They are so opposite.

thats how i roll. my opposition to obama bests even my hatred for romney's creepy uncle smile and his dopey belief in drug prohibition. If Ron Paul was still in it, or if he was the nominee i would be out stumping, going door to door, and kissing hands and shaking babies for Ron but since its romney or nothing, ill write in ron paul unless the miracle happens and i have to vote against the Aloof One

Obama's negatives are just too high. i cant vote for him, even if it means i gotta push the button for romney to keep his ass out.

I think Obama has done a great job with the fucked up hand he was given and will be voting to give him another 4 years to continue his work. Second term he should do as he pleases and not try to appease the "right" so damn much. Thats my fault with him..trying to work with people that just want to see him fail..His new motto should be "Fuck um Lets Do This".

nope, niether bitter nor angry i'm heavily taxxed, broke and barely making it through each month till my little garden harvest of vegetables and tomatoes, while lazy morons in washington argue over how to waste my tax money on their favorite projects, only one of which is $800,0000 to teach africans how to wash their dicks. or $2.5 million to repair and resurface the roadway on a bridge in the desert 3 miles from the nearest road which is used solely by illegal bungee and base jumpers, or $20,000 for a modern art sculpture in rusty plate steel by the freeway. or $60,000 for a 6 foot leather couch in SF county jail. or $5000 for 10 fancy new street signs for a road that doesnt go anyplace, and wont go anyplace for a decade or more. or $50,000 for a new logo for the oakland school district. need i go on? so no, not bitter. and not angry. just too old and jaded to listen to promises from politicians who would steal a cat's shit if he didnt bury it deep enough.

Ron Paul is a loser, otherwise I'd break my vow and vote for him. Unless Romney is a few points behind Obama, I'm not voting. I'd vote the serial killer dog catcher before Obama. I hate Obama's: voice, vocal segregates, use of POTUS or he can't talk, his shit eating grin, and how he constantly goes oopsie. Fuck him. He's the worst president ever. Worse than Kennedy for raping Marilyn Monroe, Truman for his Japanese genocide, Lincoln for his American genocide, Johnson for his total disregard for liberty, Nixon for being so belligerent over a plant and Bush Sr for just being a plain old fucker. Obama is worse than all of them combined because he does all what they have done but somehow gets dumb fucks to worship him and suck his Irish micro-penis. It 's pathetic.
