trying to figure out what kind of light to purchase that produces low energy, any ideas? greatly appreciated. not in flowering stage yet still in veg.
Is it worth the additional investment? Not a hater just curious if there's a benefit.Or LED, I've found the ones that are supposed to be so great in flower aren't all that in flower but in veg they get the job done.
I've seen very respectable results from a t5 array. He's looking for a low power veg light.the problem is you cannot reproduce sunlight, that said leds use low energy but each led only produces a very specific wave length, the plants require a fairly wide spectrum for maximum results, so the best bet is to use a combo of light types, ex 600 watt hid + 600 watt hps is gonna be an excellent grow, 600 watts gives the most light for your energy bill. t5s ive seen do great for veg but i havent seen anything impressive from a flo during flower, if you want to go real cheap go to craigslist and search "grow light" I was able to pick up a 400 watt hid for 50 bucks, a 120 cf/m blower with new filter and a 600 watt hps in a sun enclosed hood with digital ballast for 200 bucks, nuff said.
