hmmmm so a 16 year old 110 pound girl you would let drink 2-3 beers..would you also let them smoke a joint with that as well and can one of her buddies be a male...I mean if the law allowed it, would you be ok letting them do that.

no boys would be sleeping over...if they had a joint and smoked it would not bother me..i would prefer a kid that does not drink and if i did not have a problem with 2 or 3 beers why would i sweat some harmless marijuana? the bottom line is ...better to be safe at my home then out on the streets..kids are dumb and make poor choices sometimes..the more they stay home when partying the less chance of some asshole slipping something into her drink and raping her.

When i was a lad, beer and pot were so readily available no parent could prevent their use. Even the cops and feds havent figured out how to stamp out the cursed sins of liquor and reefer. Furthermore, when i was a teen, i would (and did on several occasions) go to extraordinary lengths to get booze and grass to impress a 16 year old girl. Fuck when i was 16 i would do almost anything just to get past second base!

your implication and silly primrose path of leading questions is irrelevant to the issue at hand. some parents do allow their kids to indulge in what you might consider "sins" but thats not your concern, even the federal nanny state hasnt tried to stick it's nose into what goes on within the confines of the parental relationship.

ok .... I just try to teach my kids it will be a time when they can "get their party on" but it comes after more maturity and education..

that is great in theory...but probably not plausible .. kids do not tell their parents everything and they will drink and smoke like most kids when they want..regardless of the "wait until you are older and more mature" stance..

As a parent I set the rules, I don't just go break them and allow things to happen just because thats what they want. I'm a father first and hopefully I'm there friend as well, but a father first. Now if they are drinking or smoking its not going to be because I allowed it. You right children do not tell their parents everything, but we raise them to do whats best and right. ( well some of us do ). I don't think, my oldest daughter who now is on her way to graduate school, would have achieved as much as she has ( and will ) if I would have allowed her to smoke and drink at 16...pleeeezzzeeeee..My other two would not be straight A student's ( actually my son got two B's, but still maintaining a 3.5) if I ( and the wifey) just let them smoke and drink and not teach them the plan and way to get to where you need to be. Now if they fall the fuck off..it won't because they were not taught better ( and they better not fall the fuck off or I'm kicking AZZ )

I'd take issue with kids under 18/21 smoking pot.

Its relatively safe for ADULT use, because between 18-21 is when the synaptic pathways in the brain are fully developed. Anything under this and cannabis may effect the initial development of these pathways.

You will not find ANY scientist or even pro-pot campaigner that will say its ok for kids to have/use/be around pot. I wouldn't even smoke in a room kids would be likely to walk into and as a parent I'd rather smoke outside in the rain (and I'd usually only even smoke after "bedtime" unless it was a stressful day)...and thats coming from someone who absolutely loves their smoke.

Pot is bad for kids who arnt using it as relief for genuine medical problems like chronic epilepsy or leukaemia, and let's keep the discussion that way, this is a public forum.

i started smoking weed when i was 14...god only knows the poison that was in that schwag ..smuggled across the border in gas tanks..i used to get qp's for 225$...sprayed with carcinogens ...i was 18 before i knew what REAL pot was..it was when i spent 10 months in eugene oregon....eating the fruits and vegetables sprayed with carcinogens is more harmful to a 16 year old then smoking pot...and not to mention all the steroids and hormones injected into cattle and chickens that they consume...why do you think everyone is dying of cancer..most women are terrified of breast cancer and men don't think about that shit..but they will when they hit 40 and many have prostate cancer...bottom line..marijuana is not harmful ..you know what is all the shit kids are smoking and ingesting like bath salts and the other crap marketed to teens because weed is illegal and this poison isn't...

lol... You mean after the first one...lol....school, military, career. Had to see myself somewhat established before I started raising a bigger family. It worked out. I can still run and play and enjoy them.

doubt that brother i am 33...i do not want kids..i love my nieces and nephews but kids are so much work and responsbilty<typed that 3 times and could not get it right.:wall: ...i would actually be a great dad, have dated many women with a kid and bonded with the kid...and missed the kid not the broad when i broke up with them..still do...kids are great but not my thing..and i don't ever want to be tied to a woman for life..i like to come n go as i please and i don't answer questions and explain myself on where i am going? how long? with who? i have been real cautious for 19 years about not making babies.

how about i call you "Lil Shaver" or Sport?

These kids today grow up so fast. Always riding around in their jalopies, with fox tails on the antennas, and hanging out at the malt shoppe and listening to Rock and Roll music on their phonograph players! It's a disgrace is what it is!
