i think the risk is small if its on a window seal on the first floor at this time of the year
but i can say i would never grow seedling on a window seals my self

Most important, can i just use the fan's without any ducting etc added, without ducting towards the light the tent will still be about 26 - 28 degrees so can i do that without the ducting?

Ah hate when shit like that happens!

You got a dry and or cured weight yet? smoke report etc you know the usual crap

You only need 1 on the exhaust! passive intake is the absolute best solution unless you have literally an entire room that needs the extra intake... my 4" Fan is powerful enough to cool a 400-600w hps in a reasonable sized tent so you'll be good that end... If I had 2 x 5" Fans I'd mount them both on the exhaust anyway, again to have the negative pressure and double the power. So long as you've got your circulation fans pointing over the canopy and 1 or 2 pointing up towards the light and exhaust this should help a lot (does in my room anyway : )

If it comes down to it, that's a good option just buy some large cheap circulation fans to point up at the light, works wonders!

The fan will still extract heat as long as there is negative pressure in the tent so you shouldn't need ducting at the moment except to connect your filter to the fan. Though it will help to get a bit of ducting to 'aim' at your lights, take the heat out at the source before it can effect room temps drastically, even a short bit will do, if you can get some scrap bits from someone. If not either way you should be alright.

have you got a good cool intake of air going in the room where the tent is,
it could hit 30c in july and you temp will go quick and if it hits over 35c in your room for lengths of time
you will lose a lot of your yeild

see what is the coolest you can keep your tent now with the light on

you need to be able to get round 25c max at the time you would be flowering 12/12 lights on so when the temp goes up 6-8c in july

you have a chance of keeping it below 35c and saving your crop

sorry to make things harder but in a mouth or 2 you be looking back and glad you sorted the problem.

Infact may be more important than you believe i've ordered autoflowering, so i'll be near the finish of flower before the end of july

Researched the seeds and saw reports of them not being auto they are autoflower northern lights nirvana seeds but i think there problem about them not being auto's has resolved as the complaints were a couple of years ago and they were removed and then brought back on to the market since then.

What cubic ft squared should i be looking at for 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 tent?

I also found a 6" for just 15 quid new and in box including postage... just pretty sure i won't fit it considering i have a 5" vent...

Temperature without an exhaust is 30 - 31 (this is with oscillating fan on)

I will more than likely get a bigger fan and just use it to blow directly onto the hps's bulb from a lower angle (non circulating)​

this will give you a basic ideal of airflow needed but to lower you heat prob i would use a 5in and 6 out

by multiplying:

Length x Width x Height = Volume of your room in cubic metres (m³) and then multiply the answer by 20.

Ideally, air needs to be replaced every three minutes (or twenty times an hour). Therefore, just multiply the volume of your growroom by 20. For example, a room of 3 metres x 4 metres x 2.5 metres high = 30m³ and 30m³ x 20 changes per hour = 600m³ per hour. Once this has been calculated, you can select the correct fan.

and i have not grown auto but northern lights are a very good smoke
i would bye a lot of auto seeds as they do not yeild much each plant but if you have a lot of plants you will increase your yeild
i am not sure the best amount to use but i would think 12 plant will give you 12-20ozs
1-1.5oz's per plant sounds good

Yes, i ordered 10 seeds hopefully i won't get any more than 1 bad seed.

I also have 11Litre square pots as i read that is enough, as if i used 9 4 gallon pots it would have took too much space

Am i right here as my answer seems a bit low

that is right if you are using the min air flow and trying to keep you room warm, like you maybe need to in January
running rads are not cheap

you need to change the air flow more than 5 times that to reduce the temp by much
say you have a 4" intake fan and 4" out
the air flow is good but your intake air temp could be 15c and the room temp 30c ok this would work
but if the intake is 22c your room could be 37c not so good

now if you had a 6" in and 8" out you intake air could be 22c and room temp 26c
the larger the air flow the less temp difference between intake air and room temp

11ltr pot size is a good i would not go any bigger
are you using soil or coco

look at it this way 11lt x 9 pot = 99ltrs is about 22 gallons, 1 oz per gallon

so you have enough soil/coco to grow 22oz

I understand mate, doing it in coco again i highly doubt 22 oz as they're auto's they should take about 9 weeks and i should aim to get a half off each well that's what i've read but i'm going to remember everything i have learn't keep learning and put alot of hard effort into these

sorry mate i did not mean you will yeild 22oz's
they's a lot of rules of thumb in growing
like 1 gallon soil per oz's
gram per w

your yeild will fall short because
you grow was short of something or give to much

could be lights to high 20" above plants
gaps in the canopy wasted light
low yeiding strain
overwatering
flush to early
over feed
soil to dry before watering
low amount of soil
ect
get all the basic right and you get a good yeild

as i said i have not grow auto plants but 1/2 oz per plant

Well i've read anything between 3g and 3oz's... depends on obviously experience, technique, equipment and natural climate.
I'm just giving these auto's a go so hopefully i can get about 4oz's then i will have a good perpetual grow set up for photo-period plant's after and if the grows not that good it only a couple of months of my time and the equipment i'm buying will be useful in the future so if i don't get raided it works out i paid 50 for the seeds and probably about £70 electric so an oz will be profit the plant pots i got were used and there all in perfect condition and all the same length width and height so i don't have plant's closer than others.
Considering when i go to get more coco to get canna cannazym or rhizotonic just a little 250ml bottle to help out a bit more as i won't have spare money for a full nutrients set
Although i'm drawn to canna's cannazym and rhizotonic i have an open mind to buying another of advanced nutrients products as i found their big bud really kick started flower production the second i started using it.
Another main reason i'm drawn to cannazym most is my plant's were in veg for minimum of 2 months although it was me learning that's still a long time then the 8 - 9 weeks of flower and although their roots held all the coco when the plant's base was removed from the pots it was still nowhere near rootbound as i assume it should have been
4months of life and didn't even fill a 4gallon pot's which weren't even full they were 3ls short of coco each so i definitely need help with the roots performance
Also a slight belief as it weren't untill flushing i would give the plant's a heavy feed it was every night sometimes 2 i would feed a small amount like hydroponics with the roots not needing to stretch as much maybe?

Pure AK - 1oz harvest (lanky low producing, englishy looking but a nice smoke...Doesn't grind too well)
The other one - 50gram's (kind of harsh was definately less flushed than the others, the kind of high which kicks in ten minutes later but very energetic i could still get a spring clean done while smoking a q which isn't normal for me i would be eating or being lazy)
White Widow X Big Bud - 2.5oz's (i fell in love with this plant instantly it's huge cola weighing 20gram bone dry, huge buds weighing little, very crystally, 20percent amber and i love it gets me monging while not too lazy, gives me the munchies more than when i normally smoke weed, a little bit of mold on the cola but it was removed before hung to dry and this stopped it spreading , defo recommend this strain for 1st time growers i wish i just did 4 of these and it reacts really well to pruning useless small branches which are wasting energy)

New decent tv, seeds, xbox games, lots of loans paid off, new pots, soil, fridge and freezer packed etc... thank's for the help guys i think i'm hooked on growing now but i'll always be careful and not go over that 9 plant limit

Can take a lot longer than that mate! Max of 7 days to show a tap root and a max of 2 weeks to see sprouts... they're not set in stone, but those are my cut off points for throwing seeds out.

hi mate good to start the next grow with you

sorry to be blunt but

your seeds do not need any light an till the two small leaves first open

and you have got to reduce them temps or you have a high chance of losing some or the seedlings
if you have humidity dome use but make sure the vent are open full or lift it an inch
you need the humidty to be high but not over 90%

the coco must not be soaked but keep damp and the temp must be 25-30c max (26-28c) for best results

Got some bad news guys,

I was raided





Just kidding but it's still quiet bad news...

My daughters mum has become an alcoholic/coke head/ mcat head
I'm not going to go into details right now as i still have seedlings here but i'm going to be in court next week for full custody, unfortunately for now this is me stopping growing for a good at least 4 months unless i don't get custody, i haven't yet been able to find the seedlings and equipment a new home but i am on it!
But i promise keep me posted i'm still going to be coming on here regularly to keep my knowledge refreshed and improving

Hydroponic equipment in you're home but no illegal plant's? does this make me viable to get raided... if i do because a social worker see's a light or soil or something which i'm sure they won't and i get raided but have 0 plant's will the police let me keep all my equipment + pay for my door -.-
