Hobbies??

I feel like I need a hobby, or a new one at least. I like to; fish, boat, surf, hunt, anything outdoors really, I was a graphic design major in college. But lately I've felt really bored and like I could use my time more wisely rather than on RIU (No offense).

So what are some good hobbies for a 21 year old male living on the coast in SC? I want something that I can share with people, physically give them something, *sell them, or just show them "hey, I did this." My buddies and I were talking about those bad ass Nitro RC cars or paintball again, but those are pricey.

*I really wouldn't mind making some money off my hobby. I work construction, so I have a broad knowledge of tools and carpentry skills.

I just saw the asterisked addendum, which wipes out my hobby suggestion: visual astronomy. A star map, a pair of binos, maybe some charts from heavens-above.com ... my idea of a well-spent night. But money potential? Nil. cn

You could make yourself some forms out of plywood and start casting concrete ornaments and stuff. Maybe benches and whatnot. Twas thinking of doing something similar my damn self.

hahaha thats awesome! I have an uncle up north that makes some. Actually he just makes 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 sticks of dyno (pretty much all they are). They set one of the bigger ones off in one of the Great Lakes and the Coast Guard came looking around about a half hour later thinking a boat exploded.

And I don't NEED to make money, it would just be a nice +.

The astronomy as always interested me, maybe another + for the ladies...

Start up price is another thing I should have mentioned. I can spend a decent amount, but no where near a sports bike.

you could start a fish tank. that takes a little time to get started but you could grow coral and sell it to people around. they have to have fish clubs or something around.

Woodworking and metal working are great hobbies with sales potential. Hand weaving is a lot of fun but can be a bit expensive to start.

I've been thinking about this very hard. I think I'm about to move into a new house soon so I've been waiting. One of my dealers has a bigger tank, and she has some largemouth bass in it. I love to watch them gulp up some bugs and lizards.

masturbation is my hobby
Hell yeah dude

Im not saying bust out the charts and telescope for a girl, just be able to point stuff out in the sky...

I'm about to look into some tanks, I have a small 5-10gal one but I want something a little bit bigger. That's something I'd like to go a little crazy with if I were to get involved

You could always make and sell mortar racks, I see them for sale online all the time. Your uncle probably makes his own flash powder like most of us, take a peek at this shit...aerial depth charges!

Astronomy is a great hobby, very rewarding and easy to share with people or simply enjoy by yourself. Only thing is its not the best hobby to get a smoke while doing, you need your eyes to be sharp and not blurry. A Newtonian Reflector is a cheap telescope with a huge apature, buy one and you can look at galaxies and nebula!
