Zimmerman bond revoked

the best part about all this is when i caught you trying to play dumb about FDD being busted.

why would you do that?
Actually, it was a tongue in cheek kind of thing. My first inclination, after finding out about FDD, was sympathy, and then a weird eerie feeling knowing that just a couple of days before he was arrested we had discussed his "legal grows". After thinking about it and recalling FDD's smugness about "the best three years of my life" and his glee with Obama's kinder, gentler drug war, the more I realized that he is just part of the problem and he got just what Obama promised him.

You might want to pay attention... The website was set up BEFORE the bond hearing...so when they said they had no money Zimmerman and his wife lied, because they had the money from the website that had been already set up. Please get yourself informed before you choose not to pick any sides,as you seemingly pick a side ;-)
And now it looks like we have ANOTHER of so many assumptions that have been wrong in a rush to demonize Zimmerman. It turns out the money in the defense fund is sitting in an independent trust that neither the Zimmerman's nor his attorney have access to. Totally blows up this entire thread if it's completely true. It's not THEIR money at all, it's money that will be paid for his defense by the trustee, as he/she deems necessary. Zimmerman couldn't use this to flee if his life depended on it. In my view, in regards to the bond hearing and it's primary objective to determine flight risk and such, he didn't lie at all. Technically and realistically, he has no more money than he and his wife claimed. If you don't agree, I think it's safe to say you're more than a little biased and unreasonable.

lol.

they talked about how they would use the money in coded language before the bond hearing.

if they can use the money exactly as they want, it's their money.

besides, this boils down to lying under oath. the question the prosecution asked was if she knew how much money was in the fund. she said she didn't know. turns out they knew all along exactly how much money was in that fund.

yep, we've identified your bias.

What was he charged with, growing cannabis? He was a willing participant in the drug war, making large profits while 850,000 people were arrested every year.

All you have to do is read the Holder memo to know this is correct: "obama never promised anything".

He supported the drug war. He profited from the drug war and the misery of millions of truly innocent people.

i'm sure if you asked him if he supported the drug war he'd say no.

he profited off of his own hard work and market demands for it.

you're just a piece of shit who takes joy at seeing growers get busted for activities that harm no one.

I am sure if you ask him NOW if he supports the drug war he would say no, before he was arrested he was rolling in clover because of the drug war. If you object to the drug war, how do you rationalize voting for somebody who has ramped up the drug war, who laughs at any suggestion of legalizing cannabis?

If the drug war ends for cannabis, the bottom drops out of the price of cannabis. When the drug war ends the current cartel members will have to turn to a different line of work. That is the simple bottom line, and that is the reason that most growers and distributors like the status quo. They don't want cannabis legalized. When you support the status quo and you are a cartel member, you run the risk of becoming a casualty in the drug war. That's what happened to FDD.

dude I remember when FDD stated being against one of the props for cannabis in CA. I did question his motives then, but to kick a man when he down is pretty freakin low. A family is still involved so keep that in mind. We all have done something in our past that each of us could be locked up for, so be easy..

FDD was a cartel member now?

LOL!

however you have to justify your giddiness in seeing a man sit in jail for nothing more than growing plants and never harming a soul.

I have sympathy for his family, I am sure they are going through hard times because of this.

FDD was actively supporting the status quo on RIU with his words. He was opposed to legalization. You questioned his motives, so did I. It has become clear that his motive for opposing legalization was because of the cushy lifestyle prohibition provided him. The prohibition he supported resulted in about 850,000 arrests per year for cannabis. That is a whole lot of misery to sling on mostly innocent people just so you can make a pile of money.

Anybody who makes their living off of prohibition while actively supporting prohibition is a cartel member in my book. I'm not giddy about FDD's misery, I am just not particularly sympathetic to him given his active support of prohibition.

Dude really just let it go...I was not a fan of FDD but the man helped a shit load of people here on this site and I'm sure if I really had a question that needed answering he would of helped me too. I mean really just go back and read how much helpful advice and knowledge this man has put forth on this site alone...compared to your what ???? Exactly how do you support the community..??? again just let this one go.
The only person that deserves to be in a jail cell right now he Zimmerman..Glad he is where he belongs
