I am Looking AT buying a CO2 GENERATOR, Help please

Does anyone know of one i can order that is reasonably priced with a controller that regulates it at roughly 1500 ppm?
the one i have found was 1250$ and im almost certain theres cheaper ones out there that can do that for me

my grow rooms 5 feet tall and 8 feet by 8 feet wide roughly

im new to using CO2 but ive been meaning to add it to my grows ;)

if anyone has tips also please shoot then to me

Nice! Controllers can be had for under 200 bucks but the better ones start at about 300. Generators can be had for a couple of bills as well. Were'd you come up with 1250? are you in the US?

for an 8x8 i wouldnt get a burner.. if you went with a tank and regulator you would be just fine.. with a room that size the burner would add about 7-10 degrees to your room.

a nice burner is about 450-600 bucks.
you can get a tank, the regulator, and ppm4 controller for that price and thats all you need

does the controller open and close the valve to regulate it or just show me the ppm for manual use?

your thinking of a tank setup.first thing i would do is hit up CL for your 20 lb tanks, theyll cost you around 50 ea. then head to the hydro shop or online and look for a regulator, try to get a high flow one(5-20scfh), you have a fairly large room. there are a low of options as far as controllers go i currently dont use a controller because i do not run a sealed room. but i like this controller been thinking about getting it,http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/sentinel-chhc4-cooling-heating-humidity-and-co2-controller-p-2778.html

if you buy a ghetto one like me... the ppm4 tells you a "range" of where your ppm is 0-900 9-1400 1450+ or something close to that. but what you do is, turn your regulator on to where you want it... i run mine about 2.5-3 and that cranks your co2 constantly until you reach the 1450 mark.. then it shuts off. i try to have mine run as often as possible without shutting off, but still knowing that im 1300+.. the guy at the hydro store told me this would work best in case you have little air leaks in your room you dont want the ppms fluctuating alot. but the controller will tell the regulator when to turn on and off.. when it shuts off your ppms will decrease, once it gets down to a certain ppm it kicks back on.

Im going to buy that controller ;) can you link me a high flow regulator also? and what tanks i should look at

i got my ppm3 monitor/controller by cap and a minigen generator for around $500. 6'x10' room and unit barely runs to keep room at 1100ppm. i was worried about heat so got the minigen in case i needed to use the water cooling feature on it but never used it. i had a 50# bottle and valve before and no way in hell would i never reccommend anyone use one. when growing indoors, and especially if u are ready for co2, the key is to have complete control of enviroment and bottles are very inefficient. i have a 30# propane tank that lasts for 3 months+ and cost $23 to fill. i was going every month for bottle co2 and with propane u cango anywhere and exchange a tank or have more options for getting refills. cap now has a ppm4 that runs $180, has less features but does whats needed.

they are pretty badass. you can hook them up to a different Co2 monitor if you want. that one is pretty cheap but doesn't allow you to control the ppm's. it's preset to turn on at 1100 and off at 1500. those minigens are great for rooms under 100sq.ft. all you have to do is take out 1 piece if you aren't gonna run it water cooled. it really doesn't add much heat to your room anyway. plus it's got all the safeties of the more expensive generators like valve shutoffs and tip over protection.

they probably got one on site fo rthe controller. i like compressed gas for rooms 10x10 and under because they dont add any heat. and its co2 only, propane burners and NG burners put off CO in addition to co2, in alrger area this is fine, in a small area like my tent or a bedroom i prefer to not take my chances.

20 pound tanks, they are about 3 ft tall and 8in in diameter, check CL all kinds of tanks they are fairly cheap sometime with co2 in them.
