boiling milk

if i just boil a bunch of milk withn a shiiiit load of trimmings / stems / leaves


then strain the milk...

&& drink it..

is this a method of making cannamilk.. or am i missing a step here or doing somethin wrong


or would i be able to boil a bunch of water with trimmings and stems with butter in the water.. then make tea

Milk will work a lot better then water since THC is fast soluble. Get whole milk and let us know how it works.

A couple ways....boiling the milk isn't such a good idea at least not for any length of time. . Boiling plant material in water is better, then if you want to doctor it up mix with warm milk and flavoring. Like with any experiment...titrate up a bit at a time and make sure you have no commitments the next day LOL

yeah if you put butter in water and make a tea the butter just floats ontop. not to good.

i would do a double boil with the milk so it doesnt get too hot or even evaporate. the last thing you want to do is get it to hot

my fav way to make a drinkable product was using half and half and cooking it then adding the half and half to tea coffee etc

careful boiling milk-

i gets yucky if you don't know what you're doing. if it was me i would do a traditional extraction, i.e.(dry ice, ice water, alcohol, butane), then infuse the results into the medium.

if that is outside your means, check into coconut oil extractions. the oil dissolves the cannabinoids, and would be easy to add into milk.

if boiling milk is your prerogative, try using condensed.

milk can go "bad" pretty quickly when cooking..

folks who will complain about the "green" taste (should water bathe -oil) or should really be using hash or keif or some form of thc extractions this will allow the medication (thc) but UNFORTUNATELY not too much of the beneficial green parts (from my readings It seems he cbd and cbn's are found within the NON THC portions of the plant (the part not normally extracted by a keif run or dry ice or cold water runs) since the cbd-cbn and thc are not water soluble you are missing the "good part" those who use a chemical extraction i/e iso-bho or even fat oils will get the benefits since the cbn-cbd thc are soluble in those particular chemicals

the only correction i would make is you don't want to "boil" the mixture, whatever you end up using -- at most you want to achieve a simmer -- a rolling boil is too hot.

use hash if you're going to use condensed milk -- by the time it's extracted you'll end up with an unfilterable toffee-like material. (voice of experience.)
i personally prefer halfnhalf. whipping cream tries to separate and you have to re-homogenize it -- can be PIA.

"condensed" milk is heavily sweetened -- if you google "homemade dulce de leche" you'll see what i mean about ending up with toffee by the time the extraction's ready.
"evaporated" milk is the same as condensed, minus the added sugar -- you're right, it maintains its consistency better than regular milk when you cook with it; between the 2 canned milks, definitely the one to go with. BUT, a lot of it is still 2% MF (hence why i prefer the half n half).

side note here My Mom about 15 Thanksgivings ago made a Pumpking pie and used sweetened condensed" milk rather then evaporated and the recipe was so damn good that we have switched over to the condensed stuff......


but yes half and half and even some whipping cream (not the canned crap the liquid stuff sold near milk area) if perfect for a low and slow cook
