The justifiable homicide rate has tripled. Maybe you should look at gun death statistics as well.
So now you are railing against Justice? WHat problem do you have with Justice? Aren't all people equal? Or do you want criminals to have extra protections?

No he was not wrong but there's a key word there "armed robbers" meaning they had already threatened the use of deadly force and displayed it. Did he need SYG? No he was already protected and within his rights in all 50 states.

You know sometimes keepin it real, can go wrong. Most people that feel so insecure in our society that they feel the need to carry a concealed weapon with them are unstable and are the 2nd to the last people we want wondering our streets with guns in their pants. Just look at how many stupid situations that have escalated into a murder have occured in Florida since SYG.
I see a big part of the problem IMHO, is someone carrying a gun, by virtue of that act alone, believes that their life has more value than some of those around them.

Begging the question: Murder is a crime. If you are exonerated under SYG, you committed a justifiable homicide, not murder.

My experience with armed citizens has been the exact opposite of yours. I feel MUCH safer in areas where citizens are armed.

I am not even sure why you keep posting in this thread, there is a 99.9% chance zimm is going to be convicted and then what will you say?

Whoa, I don't think the chances of conviction are quite that high. I am glad there is going to be a trial so (hopefully) the truth can come out, but no one really knows what happened. I have felt all along that this was more Zimm's fault, for following when discouraged and for carrying. But I also concede that Trayvon may have turned the tables on Zimm and followed him. We don't know yet.

lolz!!!!!

MY life is more valuable than YOUR life.............to me! Yours SHOULD be more valuable to you as well! It's your right to carry or not if that is your choice. Criminals and the actual people who would do you harm are not really into following laws and such. Stricter gun laws and all the wishing things were different won't change this fact. Some people don't like guns, and that's fine, but should I or anyone else be subject to YOUR dislikes? You are FAR more likely to be murdered by someone carrying a gun that has ZERO legal right to do so than you are by law abiding gun owners. Sure, there are a few dirtbags who've managed to fool the system but it's that way with pretty much anything. Hell, there are cops that have NO BUSINESS carrying a gun, let alone a badge and gun!

If that were true, then why does Florida have LESS homicides now than before SYG (not STG)?

I imagine the murders in Florida have declined yearly for the last 7-8 years like in most cities and states that did not have that retarded law.

Justice I belive in. It's supposed to be dispensed by a court of law. I wonder if you would accept this as justice if you were Trayvon Martins father. The shooters word. you'd be alright with that?

That's because your armed as well, your with your own. I prefer to be around people who have a little more faith in human kind.
Very few people feel the need to carry around a weapon all the time. I question the state of mind of the ones that do.

BTW I don't think all gun folks are nuts, but like aviation, it isn't very forgiving of fools or idiots and I don't want them crahing their lives in my neighborhood. I won't vote to take your precious guns aaway, but I will vote against any law designed to sell more guns (SYG) and make people less responsible for their actions. Our self defense laws are fine without SYG.

What I mean by that if you don't understand is the attitude of you punch me, I'll kill you. If you need a gun to go outside then you already feel like your life is threatened just going outside. It's just a matter of what brings that feeling to a level of an action that has us sane folks worried about ya.

Imagine if just ONE person had been armed who was on flights 175, 11 and 77. Just think about that.

Imagine how much longer that list would be if guns were allowed on flights. Yea, that will make them safer, let bubba have a gun on his flight.

Armed guards are overpowered with a show of force all the time. Guns don't belong on aircraft. period.

the only reason those saudi pieces of shit were not ripped to pieces by the passengers is they thought they would land and have demands or some negotiating ploy to get what they want..now that will never happen again...anyone hijacks a plane they passengers will rip them limb from limb.

I agree completely. They got four planes that day, but it was a new tactic, or at least one that hadn't been used since like the 70s. I don't believe it would ever work again, that that is why it hasn't been tried.

Yeah, well it is too bad that the FAA rescinded the rule that allowed Pilots to carry firearms in the cockpit, and just 2 months before 9/11 too.

I thought that they were letting them now, and that some were. This is from about a year or two ago.

Yes, an amazing bit of government work there. Remove the guns right before they could actually have been used to good effect, then turn around after said event and institute them again. Something in Denmark stinks.
