burned plants :(

Went from 200w CFL's to 600w hps, but my mistake, I put the light too close and burned my baby.

Is there anything I can do but take off the crispy leaves and give it some darkness ?

I would put it back to what it is used too if there is any green left and hope for the best.google:hps distance chart.work your plant gently in range next time.

also holding your hand above your plant tops will helps as you can feel if its to hot or just right so your plant gets enough light but without to much heat.

With most 600w your looking 12-18 in away from the plants. Then use your hand to check.

Not much you can do, though if it makes you feel better I don't think I have ever seen a plant die do to lightburn.

No dont worry about the darkness just make sure its about 3' away in future, a Hps 600 is no cfl bro its more like a room heater.

Depending on how bad the burn is you should be ok.

I have had this happen on several occasions. I continued with the same light cycle and raised the reflectors a bit. Water before they go dark and they should recover. I left most of the burnt leaves on for a few days until new growth formed above them and then clipped the worse ones.
