Handy with a drill? Quick question

Hi Guys !!!

I've done it and it seems quite secure. I didn't hang off it just in case but I gave it a good tug. They're about 20 KG. I still need to seal with duct tape tho.

Problem is the dials for the TT are facing the wall now. I took the windows out last year and boarded up the window (hope my landlord doesn't go on RIU !! - joking - he can't speak English!) This was my outtake before but is now the intake. The cardboard flap lower down allows for the air to be pulled in from outside and there is a fine black mesh material stapled to the mdf board (to block out bugs). The outake is thru the cubby hole near the ceiling.

I had to change back to the TT as it's getting really hot now. Hope it'll cope with 3 lights, otherwise I have to go down to 2 for a bit.

Fingers crossed that it doesn't come crashing down! Or worse still go thru to the neighbours living room !!!!

I prefer the metal wall anchors, personally, but it's up to you.

Edit: I guess there were more pages to this thread than I thought... lol... Congrats on the setup.

Edit 2: Landlord? Neighbours living room? Oh man.

Edit 3: Like the railing though, provides a lot of versatility.

Oh no, now I'm worried that I should have used the wall metal anchors instead. I'll soon find out when i go there later and find it all on the floor!! Hope it doesn't take down the frame with it!! SHIT !!!

I've been making noise (but not smells) for over a year now so I'm not worried abt my surroundings !! Plus they're younger than me and make enough noise plus have a dog !!

Those plastic ones should be fine, doesn't look like you have much weight on them. They don't have to take the full weight, they just have to counteract the leverage.

you should move your fan to be directly attached to filter. hmm plastic? i would use metal hooks in the studs and chains to hang personally.

I can't. I've got metal ceilings in the place. This is why my lights hang off a frame. I drilled into the ceiling for my first grow and hung from chains. The TT and Carbon filter are too heavy to add to the frame.

I think the tubing between the filter and the TT is too long. Not sure abt attaching them directly ???? but I do need to mess about with the silver duct tape later.

That's insulated aluminium tubing and it does cut the noise level from the previous normal one that was attached.

What do u reckon? take away the tubing between the TT and carbon ???

ahh oaky metal ceiling, that walls are bricK? wood?drywall? i would run a Thick chain, nylon rope, or hell hemp rope(my girl has tons of the shit) and large hooks from across the walls to hang reflectors and bulbs. yout setup for the fan should be fine maybe replace the plastic piece with metal shelves instead,

but yeah remove the ducting and put the fan on the filter so long as both air ports on the fan are covered and its secured o the filter so as to not rattle your noise level should stay about the same.

The wall are brick and the attachment I put up is made of metal, painted white. It's only the 8mm wallplugs which were plastic (and they fit securely).
I decided to use the rail as it gve me more leverge than using hooks, ie it can slide left to right.

Think I might have some work to do later - BUT (and it's a BIG BUT) it's Friday, and boy do I have that feeling !!!

Nothing like that Friday feeling !!!
