wrong. when you add nutes to the res does the ph drop or rise? it drops. when the plants take more nutes than water the ph will rise. when they take more water than nutes it will lower. when you find the sweet spot of ppm levels they should stay consistant and ph stays consistant..if you ph is dropin and your plant is up taking water and nutes try feeding the plant more.
Water temperature, people! Thank you!
Also, check to see that you don't have a brown algae problem. Root zone safe from light?
Flush with h202 and keep the water below 75f at all times.
The above post is correct you need some way to monitor temps, also you could add some aquashield to knock back
any bad bactiria that might be brewing, high temp = bad bactiria and root rot!
Aquashield will your plant repair its root structure h202 is a bandaid not a salution!
If theres any other help you need hit me up in pm or in my thread link is right below
All the elements in a hydroponics system are delicately balanced. So yes, cause and effect could work some damage if you're not careful. I would bet that in addition to the added heat, you might have caught brown algae. That's what I had in my last grow, had ph drops just like you. Just keep the water cool and dark and treat with the 29% h202. Ideally, you want to run the bigger light while keeping the res cool. Such is the challenge that the Hydro Gods have placed before you.Yup fucking ph is at 4.5 this morning... After I flush I will try to put the temp in the closet back down to 175 watts instead of 250. I didn't have this problem when it was at 175, could the extra wattage have made the res temp go up, causing ph to go down???
^This!!why even start if you dont have the absolute basic tools needed?
