With the current high degree of unemployment ... is that an issue? I thought we have an oversupply of qualified labor now. cn

History has proven time and time again that poor immigration standards leads to the eventual demise of entire cultures, and in some cases, entire groups of people.

tell that to the farmers in georgia who have to bus in prisoners to pick their fields after they passed an arizona copycat immigration law.

the crops rotted anyway, they couldn't even force prisoners to do that work.

Yes, but that is beside the point. You said businesses having access to workers. I recognize that off-book labor means i can afford produce. but that's hardly a paradigm for the current oversupply of qualified labor for (non-ag) businesses. If the parentheses are a moving of the goalposts, ~shrug~. cn

now did i say that its the only thing. Its a part of the problem. I remember when i could go to the store and read everything in English, not some other language. Why are we catering to these people? Tell me that. Why are we and the government catering to illegal immigrants when we cant even take care of the soldiers who fight to keep us free. Free? Yeah free is right. Free entry, free welfare, free housing, free food, free free free for the illegals and when a citizen needs help they get shit nothing.

I think it's a fair trade. My dad is a dick for not giving them the benefits that they deserve as humans (health insurance), but if the workers are fine with the arrangement then it must be a fair trade in all of their eyes. I'm not trying to make my dad seem like a decent working dude (he's a dick imo), my point all along is that many illegal immigrants are hard workers.

WW does have a good point though.. My dad is cheating the system. What got me mad is when she said that my dad deserves to be in jail and that his workers and their families should leave and "not let the door hit them on the way out".. I mentioned that by deporting them, their kids would be stripped of their childhood land and their friends. But even that didn't make her show sympathy. IDK.. Personally, I wouldn't have the heart to deport a hard working family.
I'm getting off topic though, I agree that my dad cheats the system.

no, that's fair. iirc, the debate started in construction. not a whole lot of that to be doing nowadays, but when we are doing more of it, i see no reason why not to have more competition. if someone else is willing to do the same job for less, that's a good deal for the business owner and the purchaser of the final product.

So many american products have spannish instructions on them right? Have you ever thought that they do that so immigrants can understand how to use the product they are about to purchase? By purchasing an american product, they're helping our economy. Correct me if I'm wrong, no seriously correct me.. I don't know much about laws, politics, or our economy.

Your kids only had the option to learn spanish? Well that's your own school sytsems fault. In my old HS (I'm 18 )we had the option to learn german, french, spanish, and other languages that don't come to mind right now.

last time i checked, i have never heard of a school where learning a second language was mandatory (some colleges aside).

You ever seen a goddamn store that posts signs in german, Russian, or Japanese? Why so much in Spanish? Because we have 12 million of them fucking criminals here. Let see, 12 million illegal criminals here in the usa and the government does nothing but give to them. You grow one cannabis plant illegally and you go to jail. If the government wont stop the crime illegal immigrants what makes it right to dictate what you can do.

12 million people paying property taxes, gas taxes, sales taxes, and often state and federal taxes under false SS numbers, not a penny of which they will ever see back.

you should really go back to the link i posted where state after state after state reports net gains from illegal immigrants, as well as increased output and larger economies.

illegal immigrants help us.
