low odor... haven't grown many :eyesmoke:, try the Blue Mystic by nirvana, good trich production on a few phenotypes, some need about 4-5 weeks veg, a bit slow in veg. the keepers smell like blueberry muffins imo. i grew 20,the keepers were a taller growing sativa dominant type, smelled like blueberries and lavender in flower. finished about 9-10 weeks. very hard to herm this plant with heat stress i could not, with nute stress i could not, even when i did a partial harvest they didn't herm, the jillybean clone i had shot nanners at week 6-7 flower from the heat stress, not what i wanted, made me toss the cutting since i can get better some day. wish i kept the most sati dom BM since it had a smell like you stuck your nose in one of those neon markers, but add a deep blueberry aroma, the pheno smells like velvet blueberry from afar and if you dont touch it, not much stink and gets good air flow since it stretches more than the others, less skunk/pine smell than the others.

PS- blue mystic is very similar to NL, in fact, its berry/fruity rather than piney/musky so the smell is more discrete.

my super silver haze I grew had little to no smell in flower, but only after curing for a couple weeks did it smell oh so good. I've read a thread where a guy thought he got ripped off because his SSH had no smell in flower.

Kalichakra by Mandala Seeds has a THC range of 17%-19%.
It gives off a mild minty odor that smells nothing like weed.
Good luck.

i'll endorse NL, as others had mentioned, i grew out nl#5, definitely low odor, a bit of pine
very potent, if you can find good NL seeds, you will get your money's worth

NL#5, as mentioned, C99 for an up & energetic high and haze x skunk for REALLY potent motivational high with nice euphoria and psychoactivity. really, most sativa doms are going to be low odor

really appreciating all the feedback. i do have some northern lights at the moment. i will probably get some cinderella 99.

does a carbon filter 100% keep smell down let's say from 3 feet outside the tent?

yeah it should all be good especially with low odor strains. I grew out some nirvana northern lights has almost no smell. Going to do blue mystic next which is blueberryxNL supposed to be low odor with blueberry smell as suggested. Oh and i did the NL without a carbon filter lol.

what smells like weed can be a lot of opinion, i think skunky weeds smell like weed to many people, and LEO in particular
imho, my nl#5 didn't smell like weed, neither did the nirvana PPP i ran, all grown without odor control
but when you get to numbers, say 10+ or so, that will smell
i think it's more about quantity than quality, a certain threshold of odor seems to trigger suspicion

The NL i grew was a bit weird i mean if you smelled it closely you could smell the weed but for some strange reason one of my plants smelled a bit during veg then they didn't smell much once in flower. It was a cfl grow so they weren't giant plants but i had 4 of them and you really couldn't smell it unless you got close.

When I first started growing, i was concerned about no odor or low odor. After 6 years of growing ive learnwd to trust and believe in proper ventilation. If your fans and filter and exhausting are proper, you can grow the funkiest of the funk with not to much worry. The problem Ive come across is trying to be stealthy and controling odor. Fans make noise!! If you are trying to keep your grow a secret in your home, you have to ask yourself if you can run a fan 24/7 without raising eybrows. If not, definitely stay with low odor strains. Another trick I use is I keep my funky grows more for the winter when no one is outside and the air is extremely cold. That way incase some odors creep outside no one will smell it. Also if you can, vent your exhaust upwards. I vent into the attic of a newer 2 story home that has multiple roof vents. Vapor and heat rise.

i have mine in a closet; small tent for personal about 20" x 36". i am unable to fit a carbon filter in the small tent so i have to put it outside of it. i really hope that doesn't efficiency to the point i can smell it.

so far, i haven't really even needed odor control much as i immediately cut my hashberries and ice castles down the second they started funkin', and the LSD i grew had a little odor, but not enough to smell outside, though i WAS using a crude carbon filter on my intake using a box fan and a carbon heater filter.

if you stick with low odor strains AND use a scrubber, you should be fine. if i can find my notes, i grew one haze or jack that literally had no odor other than a faint bland green smell that you'd get off any plant. you could do a big SOG without a filter at all with that one.

afghani is going to be the root of stank in a lot of strains.

Well, of course you havent had smell issues. We saw the pictures. A 6 inch tall plant with a couple leaves and one little bitty whispy
immature bud isnt going to smell much at all...

he he, When you gonna write your own book Hazey? I know you don't like indicas but if you could find a good six week one to grow in little cups and harvest early you may need more odor control also.

On top of ventilation and scrubbers just being careful to not handle the plants to much helps a lot. Having your trimming, drying and curing in your ventilation plan is a good idea also.
