Hi guys, i have 2 blue chronics nearing week 8 of flowering. Buds look lovely but having a real problem with they leaves. They are all yellowing and dying at a very fast rate. I have checked my trichomes and they are all pretty clear with a few looking cloudy, i want a couch lock so was hoping for amber trichs. I flushed them 7 days ago. Really dont know what to do as i can't imagine there being any fan leaf left in 3-4 days..........:-(

in the 8th week that is sometimes normal depending on the strain. Because it is pulling all the nuts from the leafs. well give them some nuts to slow it down. pics would help

Thanks man. Its just the trichome colour that worries me. No amber at all, how quickly do trichs usually turn? Cheers

Trichomes change fast once the plants get to that point so look at them every couple days for signs of amber.

Your plants look awesome. Great job!

Thank you everyone :peace:.
I was wondering should i snip leaf off near a bud for the perfect Trich check?

Ur trichomes should be 5-15% amber. They will continue to turn amber as the plant deteroirates. U can pull 2 week premy colas and the trichs will turn cloudy and amber. I have seen it. I have to say bro, that shit looks great. No problems mon.

What if i still don't have the trich colour I require once all the fan leaves are dead and gone? The leaves around the buds look a light green too? Will my flowers be affected if left too long? Sorry guys, time to roll a J, stop worrying and chill i think :joint:

Agreed. Just chill and let them be. Some strains get so amber there are orange crystals forming on the leaves. Others never make it that far so just be patient and get as much amber as you can out of them if thats what you want.

If you're that concerned about yellowing leaves add a bit of fish emulsion to your next watering. It's light enough to not cause any taste difference, you're very unlikely to burn the plant and it doesn't have that many salts in it as synthetic fertilizer so you won't have to worry about flushing again if you have already. I'm surprised Uncle Ben hasn't posted his pics of his grows with completely green leaves at the end of harvest. Usually he's the "defender" of giving the plant N until the grow is done.

I read that it retards bud growth if you give it N during flowering.

You want N during the 1st half of flower. I run 7-9-5 the first few weeks of flower then start adding 3-12-6 in week 4. 3 parts 7-9-5 1 part 3-12-6, week 5 go 2 parts each, week 6 1 part 7-9-5 3 parts 3-12-6. week 7 go straight bloom and the yellowing starts, week 8 start flushing.....
